Title: Was ASIO right
Post by bogarde73 on Jan 14th, 2016 at 3:39pm
Was it right for the head of Asio to ring certain coalition MPs in December and suggest they should tone down their remarks about the Islamic threat?

He is entitled to do it if he thinks it could be helpful for security. But isn't it a step down the road towards suppression  of free speech, not to mention appeasement?

As far as I can tell he was making a suggestion.

That certain types of comments would increase the risk of attacks. I don't think anyone is suggesting that criticisim be banned.

His job is the protection of Australia and it's citizens ... it's not to maintain free speech or worry about your rights, that's the politicians jobs.

Democrats (Labor equivalent) in the US is doing similar things.

Obama (Democrat) is refusing to utter the words "Islamic State"

Their theory is - if we use the words Islam or Muslim it incites the terrorists. They think by not saying anything - these terrorists will stopping attacking

NEWSFLASH:
ISIS has recruited about 36,000 foreign fighters already. They aim to convert everyone to Islam or die trying. There is no other choice.

These people are not attacking the West because the West hates muslims. Muslims hate muslims. So the West hating Muslims is not a major driver if it is at all

They are attacking the West because they want to convert everyone to their version of Islam.

Why do they want to convert everyone to their version of Islam? Because they want to get rich like the Saudi muslims. They want their Rolex, Ferrari and jumbo jets.

To get this - they are happy to recruit a million foreigners to die - then so be it!!!
