On further investigation it appears this quote attributed to David Attenborough is entirely fictional.

The most probably source is from this page on Press TV's web site in the comments.

There is also an exact copy of the text not attributed to David Attenborough by someone going by the name of Aaron Cohen on the Independent's Facebook page:

... and the list goes on.  But nowhere could I find any serious suggestion that David Attenborough is the author of the statement.

No wonder only ignorant Arabs believe it.

Attenborough may have a dim view of Israel, that's not hard, but there are bizarre accusations in the statement that do not ring true for his character.

Its the typical Muzlim attempt to equate their lack of compunction, in these horrors, with a nations self defence. If anyone got dumped in the Middle East, they would be better off in Israel than among the tribalism, ignorance, and  violent fanatacism of Islam

Apparently it is just another Facebook hoax, is fictional and was never written/spoken by David Attenborough.

David would never ever say any animal is cruel...

even if comparing it to a human...

he knows as well as we all do.. animals only kill to survive.......they dont kill for FUN..

only a sicko would compare humans to animals..

they have ethics..... something humans lost many years ago.
