and that’s it
The Senate has handed Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull a double dissolution trigger, voting down the Federal Government's bill to reintroduce its construction watchdog. Australia appears to now be on a path to a July election with the defeat of the bill to bring back the Australian Building and Construction Commission. Mr Turnbull had vowed such a defeat meant he'll call a double dissolution election for July 2. Senators Bob Day, Dio Wang, David Leyonhjelm and Nick Xenophon voted for the bill, which was ultimately defeated by the Opposition and remaining crossbenchers. |

That is true. But they chose this obscure ABCC thing to use as the trigger, Ask your next door neighbout what the ABCC is and I'll bet they'll ask you why you are stuttering. I just got off the phone from a dyed in the wool, blue rinse brigade, card carrying local branch member Lib.....who will always vote Liberal while her arse points to the ground, no matter what. I asked her what the ABCC was and she said......'No idea, why do you ask?' |

It's about silencing the unions , what is undeniable as illustrated today was deaths were higher and productivity was lower with , I repeat with the ABCC , they had a budget of 250million , aquarter of a billlllion dollars, guess how many successful prosecutions came about from ABCC referrals, ZERO not a one . The magistrate went so far as to say the charges were wait for it , baseless. |
Title: Re: ABCC LEGISLATION REJECTED Post by The Grappler on Apr 18th, 2016 at 8:53pm
They just want to screech that an ABCC and similar that favours their ideology will be a 'mandate' if they win office in the next election.. or the one after...
Utter nonsense. the old Howard 'mandate' never meant a thing and still doesn't - there is NO absolute right of anything that accrues to elected office - only the total and absolute responsibility to work for the people.... fail at your peril. So they will appoint a few old mates to a fat job with fabulous perks, and run around trying to make a big noise about how violent and corrupt building unions are, while in fact the only thugs and thieves in the major building sector are those who are the developers and management. Many contractors have gone unpaid by such thugs..... and they've either had to pay their employees themselves or go bust. I have a son and a nephew in building trades.... the nephew has already been ripped off by a (dare I say it) WOG over non-payment for work done.... I'll bet Slim Mehajer is just drooling at the thought of such a 'commission'.... |

unlikely ... i think Turncoat will turn tail and wait for full term. He's hoping to pull a rabbit out of a hat with the budget, but to do that he'll have to spend big. He can't do that and hope to retain whatever sliver of credibility the libs might have left over as economic managers |
