Title: The thin end of the wedge

If a woman gets the right to remove your testicles after death how long before they try to claim ownership or eminent domain before death.

Woman given permission to remove dead fiance's testes

A Toowoomba woman has been granted legal permission to remove her late fiance's testes in the hope of having a child.

The day after the man died unexpectedly in mid-April the woman lodged an urgent application in the Supreme Court to have his testes removed so she could one day use the sperm.

The court was given several sworn affadavits from the couple's friends, who said they had "made no secret" of their wish for a child.

The pair met in September 2015 and were engaged a month later.

They planned to get married this year and had already begun trying to conceive.

In making his decision, Justice Martin Burns said the testes had to be removed within 24 hours of death if the sperm were to ever be used.

"Those orders will... permit mature reflection ... whether to proceed with the use of any extracted material," he said.

"If an application for use for the purposes of fertilisation is made, the orders proposed today will ensure that such an application will not be rendered futile."

Lawyers representing the deceased man and his parents did not oppose the application.

The court ruled the man's testes were to be kept at an IVF facility of the woman's choice.

She must make a second application to the court before she's allowed to use the sperm.

What an awful story.

This is an act of a hysterical grieving woman.  Didn't she have anyone in her life that could provide a shoulder for her to cry on, and cajole her away from this ghastly course of action?

In a progressive world all things are possible.

But I would be happier knowing it wasn't the thick edge.

I fear for the kids so conceived. I don't know how he died but unless it was an accident there may well be a genetic problem that she will now continue into her children. Do not sow what Darwin has reaped.

I'm sure many a man would be happy to pump her and offer her conception..... just as a consolation mind....

WTS are these courts coming at, determining that a dead man should ghoulishly have his nuts removed to satisfy some crazy chick?  She missed the sperm boat.... sorry 'bout that... if they'd really been trying, she'd be swollen already....

Get a medium in and ask him about it....

It's a form of rape that is... the non-consensual harvesting of sperm that could have legitimately been harvested naturally... and apparently was....

Jeez - how would they go if a bloke said he wanted his deceased GF's ova harvested and used for brat creation in a lab?

There are some wacky court decision in Queenslund (you mark my words - we do things differently up here) - this 'thin edge' began when a court deemed that a lesbian couple who already each had children could demand that an IVF clinic offer them service (sic), and then fined the IVF clinic for not doing so.

Utter cock....

Wont someone please think of the child'un?

Get over yourselves. Plenty of more screwed up parents out there, than someone wanting a kid with their deceased boyfriend (scary as that is). And the problem for a lot of those kids, is that they have two insane parents, instead of one ::)

It is totally incredible that FleaDriver didn't include a hate rant against Arabs and Muslims.

FleaDriver's health must be seriously in question, particularly mental health.
