Title: One Nation accused of plagiarism
Post by Bam on Jul 11th, 2016 at 3:03pm
Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Has Allegedly Plagiarised A Bunch Of Their Policies (Excerpts quoted)

Quote:
Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party appears to have plagiarised text from online sources, including Wikipedia, for a number of its policies. The party’s policies on halal certification, the United Nations Agenda 21 conspiracy and medical marijuana all appear to be have been lifted from other websites.

Quote:
Junkee can now reveal that a number of her party’s policies, including on the key issue of halal certification, appear to have been plagiarised from other websites, including Wikipedia. A full list of Hanson’s policies can be found on her party website. The first two paragraphs of her policy on halal certification appear to have been directly lifted from an article published in a right-wing US online magazine back in 2013.

Pauline Hanson’s policy on halal certification

An excerpt from a Frontpage Mag article on halal certification

The article has three more examples of apparent plagiarism by One Nation.

What is the problem?

If an idea or policy is good, does it matter who thought of it first?

She and those around her ~ just fakes;

Quote:
In October 2010, news broke about how the Campbell’s Soup Company received an Islamic (halal) certification for some of its product line, and many were outraged. There was a legitimate concern – not with the fact that Campbell’s received the certification, but with what organisation the certification came from, that being the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) which is a group co-founded by Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Sami al-Arian.

In 2007 and 2008, ISNA was named by the U.S. Justice Department as a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. The defendants of the trials were the leaders of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) and HLF itself. In the end, each was found guilty of all charges.

Wasn't some liberal joker accused of the same thing a few years ago??

Took some American slogan and tried to apply it here, from memory.

Guess with limited intelligence, they can only copy............just like the monkeys they are.

No I wont bwian....
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised... the person they had in control of policy after I left thought oil was an ever self  regenerating product.  Plug up an empty well and wait long enough and it would fill up again.  You can't reason with people like that.

ON lost lots of talent over the years, talent that people like Oldfield kept away from positions where they could have been helpful to the party.

Doesn't surprise me if they have no one with any real talent as a policy development coordinator at the moment...  certainly my reading of their policies show they need someone more sensible to be writing them. ::)

Yeas, and she/they lifted word for word the work of others.  That is just typical of my broad criticism.  Hanson would not have a clue.  She might have seen it and gone all gooey at the knee caps at how clevah the thief who swiped it was.  More flawed people around her, and I guess it has to be said it seems that she believes only the best are drawn to her magnificence.

This is my concern.  She is absolutely vulnerable to manipulation by complete retards because she is far too dumb to recognise what is happening around her.

No bwian, because you are an idiot.  I'd make sure idiots like you couldn't twist the words into things they were never meant to be.  I'd drop and adopt policies that idiots like you could never disagree with without being shown up for the idiots you are.
For starters I'd drop the RC into Islam crap and tell whoever wrote it to read an encyclopedia or take up theology.
I'd drop the halal hysteria and explain kosher to the twit that wrote it and if they still wanted something on it only push the aspect of where the funds go to...  and making sure they do not go to terrorist groups or groups that support terrorists.
The list goes on and on bwian... :D :D :D :D

You mean the, "racism, the Xenophobia, the bigotry, the anti-Global Warming/Climate change bullshit"?

So, you'd substitute instead some, "nice, warm, welcoming and sensible things instead"?

So, what would the difference be, Grendel?

Unless of course, you actually like the "racism, the Xenophobia, the bigotry, the anti-Global Warming/Climate change bullshit" that they presently use?   ::)

So, you'd drop all references to the Muslims and Islam?   Good on you, Grendel.

No, wait, it appears you wouldn't.

You know, for a party that likes to claim it likes to treat all Australians fairly before the law, you do seem to favour bigotry above everything else, Grendel.   Tsk, tsk.    ::)

Homo might be onto something here. If you criticize Pauline, you're attacking all those people who voted for her.

It's an extension of Andrei's rule: any criticism of conservative policies is an attack on old people.

Homo and Andrei must follow the golden mean: if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.

Now how about a REAL post already done on this very subject.

A while back some naive Lefty here was saying how the independents have "policies" they devoutly follow.

well Polly's policies do challenge that belief.

It is good to see Polly is aware of the danger to Australia of the demented HATE AUSTRALIA Agenda 21 motivated Greenies.

One Nation policies lifted from internet
DAN CONIFER  7:32am, Jul 12, 2016

Chunks of One Nation's policies have been copied off the internet. Photo: AAP

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party has copied slabs of text from the internet for some of its policies – including from Wikipedia.

During the campaign, Ms Hanson called for a ban on Muslim immigration to Australia, a royal commission into Islam and a ban on new mosques.

Ms Hanson will this year return to Federal Parliament as a senator for Queensland after nearly two decades in the political wilderness, while One Nation picked up nearly one in 10 Senate votes in Queensland. The party claims it could also win Senate seats in several other states.

But chunks of the party’s policies on halal certification, sustainable development and medicinal cannabis have been copied off the internet.

Halal policy lifted from right-wing, anti-Islam groups

One part of One Nation’s policy on halal food — which links the religious blessing to terrorism financing — has been lifted from Frontpage Magazine — a right-wing American “battle tank, geared to fight a war” against the political left.

Another section of the halal certification policy comes from the website of the Q Society — an anti-Islamic group which organised for controversial Dutch MP Geert Wilders to visit Australia in 2012.

Position on Agenda 21 lifted from 5yo pamphlet

Part of One Nation’s position on the Agenda 21 international sustainable development agreement is almost identical to a five-year-old pamphlet from US group The John Birch Society.

Medicinal cannabis plan similar to Wikipedia page

A section of One Nation’s medicinal cannabis plan is very similar to parts of a user-generated Wikipedia page on the subject.

The Wikipedia entry reads: “The ancient Egyptians used hemp (cannabis) in suppositories for relieving the pain of haemorrhoids.”

“Surviving texts from ancient India confirm that cannabis’ psychoactive properties were recognized, and doctors used it for treating a variety of illnesses and ailments, including insomnia, headaches, gastrointestinal disorders, and pain, including during childbirth,” it says.

The One Nation website reads: “The ancient Egyptians used hemp (cannabis) in suppositories for relieving the pain of haemorrhoids … In ancient India, doctors used it for treating a variety of illnesses and ailments, including insomnia, headaches, gastrointestinal disorders, and pain, including during childbirth.”

One Nation has refused to comment.
