Title: do I believe this Cath? Post by cods on Aug 16th, 2016 at 5:37pm
I dont think I do... :(
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/lindt-cafe-siege-inquest-nsw-deputy-police-commissioner-cath-burn-in-the-witness-box/news-story/bbfd8ce7c08dae444af980413534036a NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione signed off a text message to his deputy Cath Burn with a cheery “see you bright and early” on the night of the Lindt Cafe siege, it has been revealed. While Ms Burn had controversially deleted all her text messages for that time — as she said she normally did — one message emerged today at the inquest. The text message from Mr Scipione was discovered after Ms Burn sent it in an email to herself at 22.37pm on December 15, the first night of the siege after she said she had been ordered to go off duty by Mr Scipione. Counsel assisting the commission Jeremy Gormly SC was scathing of Ms Burn as to why this email had only emerged this morning when all her emails were supposedly tendered to the inquest some weeks ago. I find it just a little bit unusual for a top cop to delete emails to be honest ... and especially ones involving a case of a siege thats went on for hours..... I think they are digging their hole deeper.....and no one is going to come out smelling like roses... |

Maybe she took direction from Hillary.
As someone else said ... they can retrieve deleted texts from drug dealers so why not hers? |

I find it amazing the head honchos would go home in a situation like this regardless of whether they played an active role or not in this situation.
A good leader would be there all through the night supporting his troops that would potentially face death, even if he/she was just there as a final backup! WEAK AS PISS!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( |

same as the female Police COmm in Vic during the ash Wed fires.. they bugger off when it all gets too hard... I think Cath will crash over this... it saddens me to see females stuff up......but they sure do.... this is a shocker...all they have done is blame their lack of equipment... yet whos job is it to see these depts are kept up to the minute????????... if the fire brigade was still using a bucket wouldnt someones head roll.... and I dont think it would be the firie.... I find it amazing people at the top delete anything relating to something like this.... if that was a uniform guy in a small office he would have been suspended long ago... and they know it... |

I am not targetting her in particular cods! The commissioner has yet to speak! He should have also been there all night as well, it is not as if he or she are overseas from the action. FFS your troops are getting ready for an assault on an armed terrorist facing potential death! :( :( :( |

The deleting will probably sink her as it should.
I am just saying good leaders would not have gone home in the midst of this, even if they were only standing in the background providing moral support, while their experts were running the operation. |
