Title: Aussie
Post by Mod. on Aug 19th, 2016 at 8:26pm
As part of last night's *whatever* the outcome for me is that 'Aussie' is now an ex Member.  Can this be fixed please?  FD was able to do it when it happened before.  I have sent him a PM, but he has not read it.

Setanta...belay that forcing.  I've worked it out.  But, please fix the 'Aussie' account.

Cheers.

That will have to be FD. A file needs to be restored from backup for you and a couple of others.

NOTE:  A server glitch can cause members .vars files to be zero'd, which will cause an ex-member error. Also if you run out of harddisk space on your web host, this will cause members vars files to be zero'd.
Restore any members .vars file from a backup

So you have to be an Einstein to run the software?

No, just shell access to replace the file.

Sounds like a nightmare to me.

Also:
Hostgator should have given FD the extra space he needed
without asking or disrupting his website.
