What is behind this serious political malaise in the West ?


IMO, there has been a total lack of frankness and honest basic appraisal, and lack of even a cursory consideration of probable consequences of much of the 'general' government policy in the West,              1/ consideration among those reporting on Western politics in the mainstream media,              and 2/ among the mainstream political 'intelligentsia' [i.e. among governments and their advisors] in the West.

And that 'form' ['meme' ?], has a consequence.

Around the world, mainstream 'career' pollies pretend, that they just do not understand why growing numbers of voters in Western nations are turning to people like Pauline and Trump,         ...and why many citizens of the UK voted for Brexit ?
