THE teenage neighbour of a frail elderly woman who was savagely bashed in Toongabbie has been charged in connection with the heinous attack.

Brendan Lee Burton, 18, lives with his grandmother across the road from Anita Christaga, who was assaulted at her home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police charged the teenager over the vicious beating, which left the 78-year-old severely battered and bruised.

Funny how 2% of the population figures so significantly in the crime stats. So there are criminals from the group of the other 98%....fancy that

I think if it was he would be getting the sympathy... not the lady...hes 18 and lives opposite to her..

I more or less expect the court to find a good reason why he did it..

not his fault of course.
