Agnes, i disagree heartily with your assessment of Clementine Ford. I've read her works extensively and find myself in general agreement.

It's ok that you don't. Feminism is a very wide church. I disagree with other feminists about a tremendous number of things. The hope is that we can all be respectful and supportive of each other's right to speak without graphic threats of sexual violence, rape, death and gendered insult.

What do you mean about Clementine going "looking for trouble" by speaking her mind?

she should never have let abbott get away with calling her 'carbon tax' a tax.

She was a great deputy and a shyte PM and a carbon Tax or levy or price or whatever is still the same thing for all intents and purposes... 
She was voted out by the Labor Party BTW and replaced by Rudd because they thought she couldn't win, because she was a shyte PM.  No other reason.

Of the four recent PM's Gillard was perhaps the best.  Rudd was all "furious motion and very little action" and unable to delegate responsibility.  Gillard was the one which got things done.  All, I say again, all her legislation was passed through the Parliament, despite all the moaning and carping from the Opposition.   Abbott was an ideological ninny who wanted to turn the clock back to the nineteen fifties.  His policies were almost universally disliked, he wasn't trusted and the people hated him.  Turnball has proved that he is captive of his conservative rump which put him into the PM's chair.   Of them all, I'd rather have Gillard than any of the others.  Tsk, tsk.    ::)
