Title: Telstra ~ useful! Post by Aussie on Jul 4th, 2017 at 1:50pm
Never thought I'd be saying that!
My internet access is via ADSL.......dependant on a phone line. Dick head me managed to dislodge the phone wall socket while moving a table. Blue wire is loose in wall socket. No www. So,using mobile call Telstra to get help. Asian female answered and I could actually understand her. She put me through to 'faults' and Daniel, an Aussie, answered. Bribed him with money and a VB to get a repair man here asap, and he did that, but asap means tomorrow afternoon. So, how...do I hear you ask.....is Aussie able to be on the www? Far king good question. Daniel: What sort of mobile you got. Me: iPhone 6. Daniel: Pull blue cord out of the back of the computer. Stick iphone charger into a USB on the computer. Stick other end into iPhone. Go to settings....hit Hot Spot and turn it on. Wait for computer to talk to phone. Me: Done *waiting for voodoo.* Bingo.....have www on the computer via the far king phone! 'Onya Daniel! :) :) :) |

You may find this useful Aussie, re your pending FTTN migration:
https://www.itwire.com/home-it/78896-choice-isp-satisfaction-survey-finds-telstra,-dodo-the-worst.html Both offer unlimited downloads. Both are congested because of that. |
