I wouldn't go that far - maybe he needed to be removed from ferals... plenty of good folk that would give a nice kid a good chance in life.... I'm a firm believer in nurture - my drug addict half-sister had two daughters - one is the ultimate druggo, the other was raised by her father's sister and husband, graduated uni and is now a professional.

Much can be overcome by having a good solid family with you.... it appalls me that some families think so little of their often very bright children that they can ill-treat them and expose them to all kinds of nutcase rubbish.

Young William looks like a bright kid - he deserves better....

But how this plot thickens when you are around ferals....

The kid looks like he's got a lot of pent-up hostility and aggression there just waiting for a school play-yard where he can work off some of his resentments with a baseball bat on some kid's head.

A little psycho in the making, I would say. It's probably just as well he's been eliminated.

O what a cutting wit!

I remember the apprentice psychos in the schoolyards of my own childhood. Nasty little bastards even at that age. Cruel, self-serving, and not an ounce of feeling for anyone other than themselves. Devil's Spawn some might say. Under government Directives there should be an annual culling of these little vermin from society. Gas them in batches or sell them to North Korea as a source of protein for when they have their regular starvation droughts.
