Labor is heading for a massive defeat at the State AND Federal elections!!!!
Hooray!! Australia is saved from the evil Socialist menace!!!! What will Bull S. do after he loses the election in a landslide ? Open a hotdog stall ? He has had plenty of experience with hotdogs. He would be able to wear his daggy blue soot behind the counter. Doesn't Bull S. look sloppy in that crumpled daggy blue soot ? Wonder if it has a built in bra support ? |

LOL Post by BigOl64 on Sep 8th, 2017 at 2:48pm Yep great plan bribing pensioners to not use their air-conditioners in the middle of a heat wave, to save being forced to provide power to old people when they need it most. Wonder how many dead bodies will be enough before they work out that dead pensioners is bad PR for any government. Especially ones too stupid to build a fkken power station. |

The stupidity gripping this Country about Power Supply is stunning
Bloody hell, build the coal fired stations that will provide power aplenty and stick the windmills up your arses!!! |

Although the politically correct BH can't comprehend it, this utter energy supply incompetence of Labor both at State and federal level will result in massive loss for Labor at the next state and federal election.
In Question Time Mal is wiping the floor with Blackouts Bull S. day after day and Mal knows he is on an election winner. Labor's incompetent stupidity and technical obtusity over energy supply will certainly lose them the election. Now BH do you comprehend ? Probably not. Mal is as much as saying they will upgrade existing power stations to Clean Coal but he is carefully avoiding actually saying that to stop the dumb Greenies going berserk. Every discussion on renewable rubbish turns to Sth Aust to show renewable rubbish is the road to ruin. |

a lot of them will gladly sign up as they can't afford to turn the bloody thing on anyways... a couple of weeks ago I was having a coffee at one of my favourite places.. I bump into an old lady now and again who sits on the same table as me as they are lounge chairs where we like to sit and we are usually both alone... so we ready the papers have drink our coffees.. the last time I bumped into her she was already at the coffee shop.. bitterly cold!! and I went over and sat with her... after about another half hour or so she says.. "oh well, I'd better get home I can't sit here all day, ... I only come here on these cold mornings because I can't afford to put the heating on for too long at home" :( I very nearly fell of me chair and tried not to look shocked... its absolutely unforgivable in a country like this that old folk are trying to find a warm/cool place to be during the day as they cannot afford to turn the power on at home.... like WFT ??? this is still australia isn't it?? |

While it would seem to make sense to build coal fired power plants, it all comes down to whether or not you're going to see a reasonable Return On Investment. There are currently projections that if all renewable energy projects proposed to be completed within the next five years are completed, combined with the uptake in residential and commercial solar, the Spot Price will drop from the current average of $80 per MWh to $15 - 20 per MWh during the day. Given that the cost to run the latest coal fired power plants is around $15 per MWh, you can see why no one is building a new coal fired power plant. |

Coal fired (and nuclear) power plants ARE not - and WILL not - be ever built in this country again, for one simple reason Energy companies do not see them as a financially viable investment* This view aligns perfectly with Malcolm Turnbull's (Coal)ition Government 's mantra - "let the market decide" The (Coal)ition Government would rather forget this, when it come to energy investment *The dirtiest power plant in the world - Hazelwood, Victoria - was recently closed by its French owner - ENGIE - and not the Andrews Government, as the Victorian Opposition and Federal (Coal)ition have implied https://environmentvictoria.org.au/hazelwood-faqs/ |
