I detest polls, simply because they are mostly meaningless.

The only poll that matters, IMHO, is the one taken on Election Day....you know....the one that the voters actually vote in.

That said, I just couldn't overlook this CBS Poll, ONE......because it expresses just how the State Voters feel about one of their own, & TWO......CBS has always been known as being far left of center in their political bias.

Maybe McConnell has seen all the polls he needs to, to know when to make the logical political move....be seen backing the People's Choice. ;)

So, if elected, he will take his seat in the United States Senate. There will be no arguments from Republican Senators on his taking his seat in the United States Senate. ;)

Th parts pointed out are known to be 100% correct and were admitted to being so. He was banned from a shopping Mall and he did date a 14 yo with permission from the mother.

Just like Trump was recorded saying that he routinely gets away with sexual assault. These things are not deniable and it takes a certain type of person to excuse or ignore.

It appears that he did date a 14yo - that was wrong but it happened almost 40 years ago. Is he still dating 14 year olds? There is a statute of limitations. Have you ever done something that you regretted later DNA?

Well, it's customary when taking an oath of office, or when taking the stand as a witness...in many States.....but you know this....

Placing one's hand on the Bible is basically saying....."As God is my witness, I swear to........" It signifies a Solemn Oath, which doesn't include Muslims.......they follow the belief in "Taqiya".

This man as state Supreme Court justice was removed from office twice for failing to comply with various court orders—not a good look for a judge.

"Y’all endorsed my opponent already, so, you know, that’s a hard position to be in,” Moore said. “But all these newspaper reporters, I wish y’all would print me as I am, and not as otherpeople say I am. That’s the only thing."

Yes, how dare a newspaper print an editorial in which it expresses an opinion about Roy Moore's fitness for office based on things he has said and done? Don't they know it's rude to point out that an unrepentant bigot with no respect for the law is, in fact, an unrepentant bigot with no respect for the law?

No, Roy Moore does not hate people. He just has repeatedly demonstrated a sincerely-held belief that certain types of minority groups are entitled under the law to fewer rights than other, non-minority groups. What's so wrong about that?! Eventually, Moore allowed that he no longer believes that there should be a religious test to hold public office, indicating that he at least possesses the ability to grasp basic concepts of American constitutional law, even if the results haven't always been there.

Ray's response to the sexual allegations is enough to at least raise an eyebrow.

He has spent the last month or so fending off stories and accusations of inappropriate sexual contact with teenage women - stories his campaign has wavered between outright denying and offering half-hearted explanations for. Their excuses have ranged between the women are all liars, that they're being paid to hurt his campaign, or that he usually didn't date teenagers (but may have slipped up a few times).

Now, Moore's representatives (and Moore himself) are claiming a widescale conspiracy theory against his campaign as being responsible for the onslaught of accusations.

Doug Jones, the presumptive winner of this Alabama Senate Special Election, will have to run again....if he decides he wishes to sit in the Senate after next election in November 2018.

The Alabama Elections Board has said that if everything runs smoothly, & their aren't any irregularities, they might certify....his words, not mine.....they might certify this election on 26^th of December. Which also means it could be later.

Now, if the final tally is only .5% apart, it will cause an immediate automatic re-count.

Roy Moore himself could also demand a recount, irregardless the spread.

It is then possible that Doug Jones may have to wait a long time before he gets seated in the Senate.....regardless, as I said earlier, he must run again in November 2018 if he intends to keep the seat, which as of this very moment, looks like he probably won.

Go ahead Yogi....say it again....."It ain't over until it's over" ;)

IMHO......I say, seat the bastard Jones......let him have a few months at it, then unseat him in November. ;D

From here in Australia where we have a genuinely independent Electoral commission where all officials and vote counters cannot even be members of a political party, the USA system simply reeks of fraud. Jones only won a partial term in a special election and chances are a Republican will have this seat after him, but his win (along with the Democratic win in Virginia) is probably an accurate sign as to which way the winds are blowing in America. What Bloodhound means is that the black vote wasn't suppressed enough. 30+ DMV offices have been closed in Alabama recently (that's where people go to get the ID necessary to vote) and guess where those offices have been closed? In black areas.
