It's BOURBON Whiskey and tastes nothing like Scotch Whiskey, which is what JW is. |

Considering that alcohol increases your estrogen levels, it is quite appropriate that the alcohol brand has a female name.

True. IPAs are the worst, which is why I don't drink beer. A little wine, a bit of Mezcal and that is it for me. Do you want man boobs? The hops in IPA beers are the worst. I might have scotch once a year. |
Title: Re: Jane Walker to replace Johnnie Walker Post by Sprintcyclist on Feb 28th, 2018 at 11:28pm Jameson Whisky for me. Johnnie Walker is too hot, burbon too rough |

Four Roses. Low on funds in Indo in the 1970's, coming back from a few years travelling the North Western hemisphere, I could not afford Old Grandad, or other higher end bourbons, which is all I would drink at the time, when a Denpasar bottle-o had Four Roses, for about a quarter the price. Revelationary, it was superb, I thought it better than the premium brands, at the time.
I haven't drunk for nearly thirty years now, but in the early 80's I cracked the seal on more than a few bottles of the roses and would drink that before any Scotch, any day, even though more than one Scotch drinker sang the praises of various single malts, or "private" blends. Personal taste I expect. One point regarding the whole Jane bollocks, as an aussie, who speaks the queen's own, I always assumed we could leave all that male female bollocks for the french speakers. Is it La Carot, or Le Carot? who freakin cares, it's a stinking vegie. It's almost as silly as these trans loonies inventing 70 odd pronouns they want to mandate they be addressed as. Personally I am happy to stick with , "THING". |

alcohol is for the "inferior man".
you can create an awesome life , push hard and be all that you can be , have discipline, set goals and feel the "good chemicals" of achievement OR you can "try to scam those chemicals " by using a bottle of toxin to cause their release. dont cheat at games dont cheat in relationships and dont cheat your brains biochemistry. learn to put in the hard yards and then you'll have the smile of a guy who "earnt " it not the fake smile of a guy who "tricked his brain" . as for appealing to women, my general impression is women aged 30 to 60 are becoming big drinkers. they dont have masculine men in their lives they dont have good relationships with their kids they rely on chocalate, facebook and alcohol to "cope" to "cope" with this "harsh world". thats not fruitful. ;) |

a guy who "tricked his brain" .
Tricked??? I drowned it, gassed it, drugged it and kicked the livin shite out of it, but I never managed to "trick" it. I could get supremely wasted to a level of professional, world class intoxication, that few on this planet could keep up with. I made Keith Richards look like a pussy, but still I could not trick it, self awareness always lurked there staring back at me in disgust and shame, while I laughed at it. Sad, but true. Alcohol however is a young man's indulgence, at my age I need partake in more gentlemanly pursuits. The poor old body can not do what a 20 or 30 year old could get away with. I social drink, but have not been drunk for several decades. |

alcohol gambling facebook "likes" cocaine amphetamine all cause a release of dopamine. dopamine exists in the brain as the reward chemical that rewards you when you achieve a goal. so, from evolutionary times, you might see a deer and start hunting it down. and each time you see it a little closer you get a little hit of dopamine. and so it motivates you to keep going (hunting the deer is rewarding because you are feeling better and better as you approach your goal) and then you get the deer, you get fed, you crack open a big smile as the guy who "earnt it". but hunting a deer ( or pursuing any worthwhile goal ) is hard work and humans are LAZY. they dont want to get that hit of pleasure chemicals by running a marathon they dont want to get that hit of pleasure chemicals by having to be a quality man and attracting a quality woman and having quality sex. not when they can get it from a needle or a tablet or a bottle . theres always the right (hard) way to do things and the wrong (easy) way to do things. and they are rarely the same and most people will choose the "trickery ' every time ;) |

theres always the right (hard) way to do things and the wrong (easy) way to do things./size] I have always loved it when peole make this argument, because it shows how their mind has been trained by religious ideology that teaches us we are born impure, and need to purify ourselves through suffering, to sit with wee jeebus. Even when they don't know that's what they're doing, you have to love how something is automatically superior, because it is harder. Comparing dopamine to real drugs, you know what I mean, the "fun" ones, is like comparing your hyundai i30 to a classic ferrari, sure they will both get you from A to B, but we all know which one is going to be a whole lot more fun. I appreciate "doing" stuff, I was a keen surfer, and climber, when I was younger, both extremely exhilarating and good dopamine triggers, but if you think that is the same as top flite drug experiences, then you sir are speaking from a position of never having done it. Never doing it, is by the way, the position I endorse for everybody else. I have always said that people should never even try it, because if they really like it, then they are hooked for life, and it is an extremely expensive and demanding lifestyle, that very, very, few can maintain. Just sayng, do not pontificate about what it's like when you clearly don't. Like the young fellow in the "she's a goer" sketch in Monty Python, you inevitably have to ask, "what's it like?" |
