I understand where you're coming from Mechanic.
But in the big 'cities' - everything and everyone, smells of poo and throws it at each other.
I'm a Taxi (one of my 3 jobs) driver, but thankfully a Regional one. We have the luxury of being able to provide a better service ...for better people.
Cities don't deserve 'quality'. Especially Sydney & Melbourne who prefer 'quantity'.
Sorry - but its true. You get what you pay for and in those two, you're just paying to get ripped off in every way regardless.

I do believe a  post about an Uber street shyter rapist driver was posted just recently.

And regardless of service or non service ... if someone comes into the arena where all existing operators are regulated  ....... then they should have to meet the same regulatory requirements.

Not get a free ride (excuse the pun) in without the same expenses & rules.

Long time ago, taxi plates licences were worth a fortune, I wonder how much they are worth now?
