That means the Wednesday press conference cost roughly $60,000 in flights alone, and no doubt more when ancillary costs on the ground are taken into account.

What about the more than 60,000 who've come here since then under the Liberals by plane? By rights, they should have been incarcerated too. The ones who got here by plane after people smugglers helped them to buy travel papers from corrupt Malaysian officials are just as illegal. Why would they come here by boat from Indonesia when they can come by plane from Malaysia for the same price? The people smugglers haven't stopped. They've just changed their base of operation.

What about the record number of illegal immigrants? You do realise that "releasing into the community" is an open invitation to become illegal immigrants?
