Pence also announced that all shipments of F-35 joint strike fighter-related equipment was suspended. ....According to Business Insider, Turkey produces about 6% or 7% of the F-35’s components and planned to buy 100 of the jets, having already received two.

Silly.

Pretending, Wanting to believe, that Turkey and the West, have the same interests, and share similar values.

They don't.



Turkey is not a partner with the West.

And can never be, a sincere partner with the West.

This isn't only about Russian weaponry, Erdogan is an Islamist and he is moving his country away from the secular Westernisation started by Ataturk in the 1920s. He is building the world's biggest mosque. Can you imagine a President or PM building the world's biggest church?

I hope he does buy Russian planes. F35s should not be in the hands of untrustworthy countries. Especially those run by religious fanatics.

The US has export models that are not up with the US owned ones... it's mostly in the avionics and fire control systems but still.... there's the matter of aptitude and training as well.....

Sounds vulnerable to look down-shoot down...... eye in the sky .... from behind.. hmmm.. hard to out pace a missile... supersonic maneuverability is relative... sounds good but turning circle is still bigger than an aircraft carrier task force...

It is nigh on impossible to tell them apart, when the 'frigging Muzlum fanatic' too, chooses to pretend that he is a secular moslem [because portraying himself thus, better serves his purposes].
