Trump has made a speech about the recent gun massacres. Trump's proposed "red flag laws" are a start. The need for uniformity in gun checks and in such laws are a start. What is needed is for the US to recognise that only people who are properly trained, licensed and have a need for a semi-automatic long arm and restrictions on the types and sizes of magazines for all other firearms are acceptable. Oh, and of course, proper penalties for the misuse and mis-storage of firearms as well.
I wonder though, why or rather who forced Trump to speak out against White Supremacists? I note also he is as per usual only too willing to blame other things and other people for what has and is occurring within US society as far as guns are concerned... ::) ::) |

He's failing on many fronts and there is an election coming. His base will always vote for him, that's a foregone conclusion, he needs to be more mainstream is he is to remain in office, and out of jail. |

guns are a tricky subject for the US.
they could ban all the guns and just have a society of "goody 2 shoes" , a society of gwegs and skips. and it would be very safe and very much a haven for pedants and beta males. but what makes america great is also what makes it kind of dangerous. its roots back to the wild west. the fact that so many of its entrepreneurs are rule breakers and people who are extreme in so many ways. the US would lose its creative zing if you let skippy and longy and gweggy and bwian run the joint. you tighten down too much on a society and people just become bland, beige and downright boring. "surviving" not "thriving". trump gets criticised for his gold plated bathroom and his chopper and the bling but look at the worship of instagram models and rappers . america needs to live on the edge. you could ban guns and have all americans live long dull unintersting lives but i think you would lose a lot of what america "is" |

Nothing pleases me more than when people try to use "goody 2 shoes" as an insult. Yes, that's what I am. I'm extremely proud of it too. I'm a goody 2 shoes, and a do-gooder. Thank you so much for the compliment. |

Nothing? Yeah, I didn't think so. You, like many others on here, are just an apologist for white supremacist terrorism. You should be utterly ashamed of yourself, but I know you won't be. |
