Title: Ah... the irony of the Orange Idiot
Post by longweekend58 on Sep 29th, 2019 at 8:15am
So Trump has gotten himself in so much hot water that it could conceivably be removed from office in trying to get dirt on Biden. The massive irony is that now, the front runner is Elizabeth Warren and any dirt he would have gotten would be worthless.

A moderately smart person would have seen that coming or at least the possibility.  But Trump is not smart. He is not even regulation dumb, but EXTRA dumb.

So the next president will be Elizabeth Warren although it may be Mike Pence briefly:)

Depends on the party analysis, this could give Biden the inside running if he comes out smelling roses.

The accusations against him look to be fallacious.

dear Longy,
Trump is your personal saviour.

Without Trump we would already have 4 new wars in the world.

Bow down to him and keep him in your prayers

ad hominem

"You are an idiot, therefore you are wrong."

An ad hominem (short for argumentum ad hominem) is a personal attack. It is by far the most common logical fallacy encountered in online forums. It carries the assumption that by discrediting your opponent, you are also discrediting their argument. However, this would lead to the absurd situation that an argument is correct if one person uses it, and false if another uses it. Inexperienced debaters often fall for this and feel the need to defend their reputation against a troll, otherwise it will invalidate the point they are trying to make in the eyes of others.

An ad hominem is not always a logical fallacy. For example, if someone claims that their point of view on a technical issue carries more weight because they are a scientist then it would be reasonable to point out that they did not complete their PhD. It would not be reasonable to point out that they are divorced, or a socialist.

Merely insulting someone is not technically an ad hominem unless it is done in a way that discredits their argument – however, it is still inappropriate.

The opposite fallacy to ad hominem is ‘appeal to authority,’ claiming that the good qualities of a person making an argument support that argument.

Wrong. it isnt an ad hominem because it isnt an attack. it is an accurate and gentle description. you ARE and idiot and you deserve adjectives that go with it.

No one wants her and some DNC supporters have already threatened to vote for Trump if Pocahontas gets the nomination.  ;D

Liberals Who Work On Wall Street Warn Democrats They’ll Support Trump If Socialist Elizabeth Warren Is The Nominee

There are apparently some Democrats who work on Wall Street who are not happy about the idea of Elizabeth Warren becoming the 2020 nominee.

In fact, they’re saying that if Warren is the nominee, they will support Trump.

Wall Street Democratic donors warn the party: We’ll sit out, or back Trump, if you nominate Elizabeth Warren

Democratic donors on Wall Street and in big business are preparing to sit out the presidential campaign fundraising cycle — or even back President Donald Trump — if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins the party’s nomination.

In recent weeks, CNBC spoke to several high-dollar Democratic donors and fundraisers in the business community and found that this opinion was becoming widely shared as Warren, an outspoken critic of big banks and corporations, gains momentum against Joe Biden in the 2020 race.

“You’re in a box because you’re a Democrat and you’re thinking, ‘I want to help the party, but she’s going to hurt me, so I’m going to help President Trump,’” said a senior private equity executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity in fear of retribution by party leaders.

The executive said this Wednesday, a day after Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the House would begin a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump.

Elizabeth Warren would be a horrible president for the economy and people in business know this.

One well known investor recently said that if she won, the stock market wouldn’t even open.  ;D

Billionaire investor on Elizabeth Warren as president: Market might not even open

That’s Leon Cooperman, the billionaire boss at Omega Advisors, joking to a crowd at the Delivering Alpha conference in New York this week about what a win for the left could ultimately mean for investors.

He wasn’t joking, however, in his belief that somebody like Elizabeth Warren in the White House would be disastrous for the stock market.

“The Democratic Party seems to be leaning towards the left on policies, which is very harmful for the economy. I don’t like the shift to the left,” he explained to CNBC, adding that the market, of course, will open, but it won’t be pretty.

“It would be a bear market and they go on for a year and go down 25%,” he said. “You don’t make the poor people rich by making rich people poor.”…

“Her policies are counterproductive,” Cooperman said. “They’re negative for capitalism, and capitalism is what brought America into the position we’re in today.”

In the USA there is no such thing as a political left. The Democrats are possibly to the right of the Australian Liberal party. They just look to be left because the Republicans are so far to the right.

Joe actually admitted it.

Yet ducky boy says thats wrong - hes innocent!

Joe cannot take foreign money directly but his son Biden can and this is what happened. This explains why Joe is so wealthy. What was the 1.5 billion payment from the Chinese for? Notice the media ignores that question.

Joe is another Washington establishment corruptocrat!

Wow!

So called left wing systems all eventually fail because they're based on lies and self delusion. A free market system works but needs honest government and media to keep powerful forces from monopolizing markets.

Ducky, you owe your present standard of living to the free market system - so have some gratitude.

During prosperous times there is optimism and full employment, a product of a so called right wing government. In times chaos, poverty and unemployment the so called left exploit the misery. Which causes more misery - a negative feedback until the people wake up to the lies and get back on track.

America is getting back on track with Trump but some prefer the misery. Eh Ducky?.

to say that this position is to the right of the Australian liberal party is ridiculous

at least we don't have that.
Our leaders are still beholden to the leading corporations
which is where the real communist power resides.

And can you imagine the Liberal Party opposing universal health care now?

No, dear, you can't. Comparing Australian and American politics is a mug's game. They don't have the semblance of the welfare state we have.

And I'm not sure what you mean by a wall. Mr Trump is yet to start work on one.

Cometh the hour, dear.

some of the insane comments here are truly incredibly stupid. Warren is not 'left-wing'. she is centre-right but as DNA said, the GOP are so extreme right-wing, virtually everyone looks left-wing compared to them. The australian liberal party looks left-wing to the GOP.

Not since Morrison's taken over and put the climate deniers back in charge, dear.

Will you leave the forum forever and take any aliases with you if she’s not?  ;)

It's funny how you and those like you want to hold people to those demands, but the moment the tables are turned, like with the claims Hillary, despite not being a part of the debates etc was STILL RUNNING, nobody making that claim, not Light, not Rich, nobody, while demanding that I leave if she runs, would take the bet the other way and leave if she doesn't run.

If you're all too scared to put your necks out, how can you demand that of others or be critical of them if they don't follow through?

Is that Hillary running again, old boy, or an 8 year old girl being shot in the back of the head by the Taliban?

It's hard to work out which line you're spinning these days.

Intelligence and integrity, innit.

Yeah its sad what's happened to Australian politics. Its a retirement home.

If Weak End flapped his left and right arms just a little harder could he take off? Perhaps a poll is needed!

Hard to say, Rich. Which country do you actually live in? You haven't said.

PATRIOT, are you?

This tells you all about Karnal.

He/she/it chose politics because with left wing politics its easier to steal that to work and actually contribute something. Never works Karnal - you're going nowhere!

However please answer my question first.

Should sodomy be made illegal?

I asked you first. If you don't want to say, consider yourself sodomised.

I'd much rather hear what you think though, dear. This hurts me more than it hurts you.
