Neither map is all that good.  At least the Victorian one attempts to show what is happening over the other side of the border in NSW, while NSW just stops on the border.  Such silly isolation,   ::)

If you enlarge this one and click on the flames you get the info - of course it isnt perfect either because they dont update as often

I am quite interested in the Batemans Bay area as I know of several people who own houses down there. I found the NSW great as I could zoom in down to street level in some cases.

Yeah I am unsure how often those maps are updated even though they refresh every so many minutes.

Unfortunately they don't really show if there is still fires in parts of the area highlighted as a fire zone!

Go down to the Victorian border and see how well it does.  The fire obligingly stops right on the border it seems.  ::)

The NSW map is better than the comparable South Australian one 'cause it does allow you to go down to street level.  It also allows you to overlay satellite images as well.   8-)

Yeah I found that good on the NSW one as a couple of  friends had houses south of Batemans Bay right near the water so I had a pretty good idea how close it was!

I think most states call it *vegetation management*.

So far vegetation management has only tortured and slaughtered uncountable numbers of our wildlife, destroyed our plant life, burnt hundreds of homes to the ground, murdered several human beings.

London to a brick we learn nothing, that the loony left inspired bureaucracy will continue on with the same idiotic  rules and regulations.
