COVID-19 has exposed why a system of widespread [personal and business] credit is a trap [i.e. can be a lethal trap!!] for the economy of a state, when a crisis which affects the income of individuals and businesses rolls around.

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.



And don't blame the wealthy lender !

If you are a borrower, and you have entered into some form of covenant with a lender,   then the responsibility to fulfill your obligations [within that covenant] is on your neck.
