A large percentage of patients hospitalized after being infected with the deadly coronavirus is young adults, according to a bombshell new report.

It has been widely reported that the elderly population is at greater risk of contacting COVID-19 than the younger population.

However, a Wednesday report suggested that millennials should start taking the virus more seriously.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a study showing that over a third of patients admitted to hospital are young adults.

.....20 percent of patients, including those in intensive care, is between 20 to 44, the report added.

.....Thousands of college students gathered in bars and restaurants along the coast despite the restrictions, ignoring the advice from health authorities, according to reports.

They were insistent they would keep partying, despite their actions risking spreading the infection and putting more vulnerable people in danger.

One young man, Bradley Sluder told CBS: "If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I'm not going to let it stop me."

But the behaviour of many Aussies is no different, imo.

No such thing as a Young Adult.
It was a Merchandising gimmick invented by the USA Publishing Market to sell books to 'kids' under 20.

A 19 year old is a Teenager. Teenagers are still kids - just like a 13 year old is and a 10 year old is.

Calling a Teenager a 'Young Adult' sounds like a Catholic Priest trying to groom a kid. ::)

1 able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
2 able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.

And here it is folks, not just the elderly and/or with pre-existing ailments that will be effected by this virus.

Young people are falling seriously ill with Covid-19 aged 20 to 44.
The life long damage this virus could do to lungs of many (the damage is variable) could put some people on a waiting list for lung transplants?
Already in China is has been done. But good ole reliable China, if you have the money, they have the nice healthy lungs within days that miraculously came from a fallon gong member, as they have the best organs because they meditate and are so healthy 👍
