And that's the problem isn't it. When hospitals get overwhelmed the death rate becomes higher than 0.3%
Also, since no one has immunity, it will be 0.3% of a much higher number than the flu. So the actual death toll will be far higher.

I for one am glad that we have erred on the side of caution. If you let it get away from you, like it has in New York, it becomes absolutely horrendous.

Some context for New York, it's has reached a death toll of 0.1%.
That is, 0.1% of it's entire population

I though 'total dead' to total recovered' was an indication of its fatality rate
