Title: My neighbors dog Post by BigPumpkin on Sep 3rd, 2020 at 11:44am
My neighbors dog has come on to my property a number of time and attacked my ducks and killed my daughters rabbit, i have spoken to him about it but he doesn't appear to understand the gravity of the situation, Next time his dog comes onto my property and attacks anything I will shoot it, as tragic as that is I see no other option..
Does that sound like a reasonable action given the circumstances ? |

Get the RSPCA involved? The cops? Fix your fence?

I have approx 3.5 kilometres of 7 wire rural fencing around my property , it is deigned to keep stock in , not dogs out, But I take your point in regards SPCA. Next time it comes over I will tether it and ring council animal control and they can come and get it and with any luck they will be able to explain to him what his obligations are, If that doesn't work the next time its bothering my stock it will probably be shot, A shame really as I have a good relationship with them |

Send them a bill for the destruction of your livestock? Nothing like money to make things real!
I had trouble keeping my dog away from my own chooks! |
