You know, like working as an undeclared Turkish agent whilst NSA (Mike Flynn) or backing a foreign country that places bounties on US soldiers at war in Afghanistan and sabotages US erections (Mr Trump).

Those things are as close as you'll come to meeting the definition of treason. Prosecuting people who lie and cheat in government is what the Founding Fathers established agencies like the FBI to do.
