Title: The "Radical Left" Post by AiA on Sep 25th, 2020 at 8:11pm
I don't have TV at home ... got rid of it some years back so I am not exposed to the political ads that dominate during an election year unless I go to the gym where I can't escape listening to them as I work out. Last weekend I heard ad after ad blathering about "the radical left" and their "agenda" and I thought to myself where is this radical left? I see no evidence of it. None. You'd think a Communist takeover was imminent the way the narrator carried on.
No, some Americans, most Americans would like a reasonably priced healthcare system like much of the world has, some common sense gun laws, stuff like that. Hardly "radical." |

I know, right? I'm sorry, A, we don't want you Americans having universal health care or gun safety laws or a decent minimum wage or any of that other nonsense we take for granted here in jolly old Oz. We want you people to be the flag bearers for Truth, Justice and the American Way. We want you to be run by an aging celebrity property developer who tells your chief scientists to trial injections of disinfectant. You know, to do a number on the lungs. What's wrong with that? If you can do it, maybe we can learn from you. Maybe we can water down our own laws here. We can teach the leftards a thing or two, eh? So yes, you might have to live on $8 an hour with no health benefits and people shooting at you in the streets, but we want the same liberties applied in our jolly country, okay? And why not? You understand, A. You people don't know any better, right? No offence, dear, but you are Americans. You'll vote for Mr Trump, I just know it. |

Old boy? Would you care to impart some knowledge to jolly old A here? He's wondering who to vote for, dear. I suggested he vote for Mr Trump, so he can live in the sort of country you'd like to fly to. Somewhere with decent funeral plans, hopefully. You? |

... seems to me that when a leftist ideologist is chasing some innocent bystander down some dark alley of the leftist's mind, and carrying a cultural butcher's knife .... he ain't exactly collecting for the Red Cross...

I know. Considering Biden merely wants to get back in the Paris Climate Deal every other country's in, including Chi-na, let's hope Mr Trump can discount an erection and defeat the popular vote in the courts, eh? |

Trump praised Australia's healthcare system in 2017. Now it is part of the "radical left agenda." ;D

Ah yes, but Mr Trump didn't have the power to legislate health care in 2017, now did he? Oh, he might have had the House, the Senate and the Presidency, but it was all too hard, remember? So he decided to go for the Wall instead. What's wrong with that? Mr Trump may not have repealed and replaced Obamacare (too hard), and his DOJ report may have said not to LOCK HER UP (she didn't do anything wrong), but he did build four point five miles of wall, no? DRAIN THE SWAMP. |

"The Radical Left" is a term to divide. The truth is much different:
Poll: Americans united on a slew of issues, despite contentious election season https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/15/election-season-americans-united-issues-poll-414687?fbclid=IwAR0D7hqFwKbp8Brgh0WS_STfj-NuSxkaH2dmn3q6z2CTj4K3sASlfJHvnwA |

So? Why should Americans get a say? That's selfish, A. Putin's been quite clear on this. Why do the leftards have to be so demanding? Mr Trump's inauguration donors have feelings too, you know. |
