Well, one hatchling is out of its shell. Moving very feebly, which is natural I suppose.

Mamma falcon seems to be cleaning up the eggshell.

Very sweet, the care Mama falcon takes with her hatchling and the two remaining eggs.
Unfortunately—no way of knowing if the first egg laid is the egg that hatched first. Not necessarily, according to info in the original hawk thread. |

The link on Youtube is handy because you can wind it back for some hours to see the action bits ... 8-)

Mama Hawk must be off hunting—is not on or near the nest.

Yeah, I was surprised to see that the adult birds left the eggs alone for brief periods before they hatched too ... I had assumed that one of them would be on the nest at all times. They leave the hatchlings alone for brief periods now as well. Seems that two of the three are a bit more active than the third chick. One gets a bigger share of the food too from what I have seen. Greedy little tyke. :o |

One chicks seems to get the most, a second chick gets some food, the other one won’t last much longer, I think.

One chick at least seems to have grown quite a bit. Mama is sitting on the chicks, can’t see if 1, 2 or 3 chicks left.

Growing well and it seems real feathers are forming. One hatchling I saw just now had even left the nesting box, was walking in the gutter—the nesting box itself has been moved to help prevent growing but not fledged exploring chicks falling off the window ledge.

The chicks fledged this morning, one at 6:02:20, one at 7:15:14. The camera didn't get the third chick
