Even if it was true, the virus was already in the country at the time.

It's the lack of action dealing with what was already there that's been the issue the whole time.

I know the talking point is to show that Trump acted fast and it saved 1.8million lives, but in reality, he didn't act fast, the virus was already in the country and then he didn't act at all.

By doing nothing, he left it up to the states.  We know this because it's who Rich et all are blaming for all the deaths to deflect from Trump.  This in turn means they are the ones that saved lives.  Trump can't blame the deaths on them, then take credit for the worst prediction not coming true when he's done nothing to help.

What Trump did was fight against the orders from the states doing the right thing, telling his supporters to fight back, liberate their states which resulted in people refusing to wear masks or social distance and an attempt to kidnap and murder the Governor of Michigan.  Trump also took PPE from these states in the height of their infections and then when they were forced to bid against each other ("United States" no longer) and they sourced it themselves, Trump intercepted the shipments for the national stockpile. 

His actions have directly culminated in at least 130,000 completely avoidable deaths.

And now the 8 Million people who have slipped into poverty, he's holding their safety, their security and they and their families prosperity hostage by refusing to support the stimulus that's needed until "after he wins".

Trump's true legacy will be forever remembered, if not by the history books but by the families for generations to come because his incompetence and negligence led to the needless deaths of at least 130,000 Americans, their parents, partners, children and siblings.

No matter what Biden does to fix Trump's mess, these people will never be able to go home.

And it won't be forgotten.

It is simply too late in the US to get on top of it. From here it is purely defensive purely trying to minimise the deaths. They will be trying to turn another 200,000 deaths into 100,000 deaths is all they can do.
