Anti-vax chef Pete Evans has had his Facebook page permanently deleted for posting claims about “dangerous” COVID-19 vaccines.

The former My Kitchen Rules judge revealed his Facebook page, which has over 1.5 million followers, had been removed from the social media site on Wednesday afternoon.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, 47-year-old Evans shared his page was gone after he posted “information” about vaccinations.

He asked followers to keep tabs on his through his website instead.

“We have just been shut down on (Facebook) for a few days for posting information about dangerous injections,’ Evans wrote on Wednesday evening.

“Hope you are loving the uncensored content we are sharing at evolvenetwork.tv … please sign up to the newsletter at Peteevans.com to keep up to date with our latest information.”

Evans said his page would be gone only for a few days but Facebook confirmed the ban is permanent.

A statement from a Facebook spokesman said he’d been removed for “repeated violations” of Facebook’s community policies.

It said the platform will not allow him to share “misinformation about COVID-19”.

“We don’t allow anyone to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm, or COVID-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts,” the spokesman said.

“We have clear policies around this type of content and we’ve removed Chef Pete Evans’ Facebook Page for repeated violations of these policies

Evans has repeatedly created controversy on social media for his views on vaccinations and the pandemic during the year, including when he was fined $25,000 by the Therapeutic Goods Administration for claiming a $15,000 light machine could cure COVID-19.
