Title: this is one for the lads.
Post by cods on Apr 13th, 2021 at 6:13pm
https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/canberra-star/hannah-paige-hite-former-soldier-drunkenly-groped-four-men-at-townsville-bar/news-story/cee7c21d3ff06b41793d146d976ef062

A female soldier drank a whole bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon before kicking on to a bar in Townsville, where she fondled men’s genitalia and grabbed another on the buttocks in attempts to seduce them, a court has heard.

Hannah Paige Hite, 24, faced the Defence Force Magistrates Court in Canberra on Tuesday where she pleaded guilty to three counts of indecency and one count of assault in a public place.

Hite, who was a private at the time but who was sacked from the Army in December, admitted she shoved her hands down the pants of two men and fondled their genitalia.

She further admitted to touching a third man on the testicles, outside his pants, and to assaulting a fourth man by grabbing his buttocks and “licking his neck from his shoulder to his ear” in a failed attempt to seduce him.

Defence Force Magistrate Group Captain Scott Geeves described Hite’s conduct as “shameful” and said she was now old enough that “most people will expect you to behave like an adult”.

Hite admitted she was slurring her words and unsteady on her feet even before she and some mates went out to Cactus Jack’s Saloon in July last year.

While in line outside, she came up behind her first victim and grabbed his testicles.

She later walked up behind a second man and put her hands down the front of his pants and fondling him “skin on skin” for up to five seconds before he could stop her.

She also admitted to pushing her third victim up against a wall, kissing him and grabbing his penis before a sober friend pulled her away.

She assaulted her fourth victim by grabbing his buttocks and licking his neck.

Military prosecutor Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Fielden said none of the men had expressed any sexual interest in Hite, and that her short-lived career in the Army had been marked by two alcohol-related disciplinary convictions for failing to obey orders, and a civilian high range drink driving conviction.

“The standards of behaviour of the defence force has not just been broken, but been smashed,” he said.

Hite was kicked out of the Army in December.

Hite’s defence lawyer, Squadron Leader Travis Schmidt, said jail time was “off the table” and that his client had been punished by losing her job.

He said her night out drinking and groping men was “the straw that broke the camel’s back” which prompted her to get help for her drinking.

He said she can’t remember the night at all and was “disgusted” and apologetic for her behaviour.

Group Captain Geeves said Hite, who is now unemployed and living at home with her parents, couldn’t afford to pay a fine.

He said he would normally send gropers to military detention, but couldn’t do that to Hite because she was now a civilian.

He convicted Hite and took no further action, saying: “your behaviour was reprehensible young lady”.

I dont know what this world is coming too.. :o

I'm impressed that she could down an entire bottle of bourbon and still be on her feet!  This single incident should not be enough to get her the boot. Seems that the combination of alcohol related offences caught up with her. I wonder who made the complaint?

With a civvy drink driving charge on her record she would definitely be on borrowed time.  Would I have complained? No, at least not officially. I would have told her mates to get her home and into her rack and given her a horoscope reading the next morning.

I just thought its mainly females that put up with groping   and for the most part  complaining gets them nowhere...

yet here we have  3 or 4 blokes who were groped... { I kinda thought it was every guys fantasy] and they get her booted....

times are changing I guess...

Well, if it is a 'fun' groping by wife/good friend, that is good.

Many of us men are much more sensitive than some men here suggest they are.

I don't have a sense of humor, nor do I want one. I do find it funny, however, when someone who's made about 4 million posts shows herself to be a hypocrite. Unless jokes about sexual assault are cool now. Are they, Cods?

Obviously, I was not using her full name typing into the search engine. The results for first and last name brought up pictures of a girl from my area, with the same name. It only showed the head picture. But the photo from the Townsville Bulletin showed the image.

No, it was a matter of having to type her full name into the search engine. Otherwise, the only picture of her that came up was the headshot picture.

Yes. And the google image that first comes up is the one of me when I was 130kg. It is a photo of me with my former co-workers from 6 years ago. But, I am the only person of my name in the entire world. So, there would be no confusion about two people of the same name coming up in a google image search.

There is only 500 people in the entire world with my last name. So, you know now that my last name is not Smith, Johnson, Williams, Jones, or Brown. And my father has a shared first name with a relative over in the United States. Having traced my ancestors back to the early 1800s, my first name is not mentioned among other relatives, and that makes me the only one.

No, I did not know what specious reasoning meant. So, I looked up the meaning and found that it had to do with "an argument or analysis which has the apparent ring of truth or plausibility but is actually fallacious. Such arguments are attractive because they are seemingly well-reasoned or factual, but are either fallacious or insincere". The most common example about the magical rock that keeps African lions away because there are no lions around.

But, seeing that I have a family background that has a surname leading back to the early 1800s (perhaps late 1700s) and none of the relatives have a first and last name the same as mine, I can claim to be the only person in the world with that name.

Are you just trolling? Or do you actually have a point to make?
The point is obvious. its only your own personal experience to make you believe you name is unique. Do you really believe that there has been a team of detectives dedicating to finding your namesake? What would be the motive? That you are so important that people would dedicate themselves to make sure no one else has the same name as you?

Years ago, my mother did an ancestry trace of the family to find out the entire family background. Focussing solely on my family's last name, the 372 years of its known existence (save for maybe the father of the guy in England), there has not been another person with my first name associated with my family's last name. I would be the only one. Unless one of my cousins either here in Australia or overseas decides to name their son the same first name as mine, I am the only one of my name.

There are genealogists out there that have jobs trying to find people's ancestors. Did you not think of that? I would not have made such a broad claim if I did not know for myself the fact of the matter.

The motive here is to point out that Hannah Hite was a common name. But it helped when I added her middle name so that I could search for the picture you found. I pointed out that I had the only first and last name unique in my family history. Finding my picture in the google image search was easy.

unsub have you ever typed your own name into google....???????   you are not alone!

Yes. And the google image that first comes up is the one of me when I was 130kg. It is a photo of me with my former co-workers from 6 years ago. But, I am the only person of my name in the entire world. So, there would be no confusion about two people of the same name coming up in a google image search.
Thats a bold claim.

There is only 500 people in the entire world with my last name. So, you know now that my last name is not Smith, Johnson, Williams, Jones, or Brown. And my father has a shared first name with a relative over in the United States. Having traced my ancestors back to the early 1800s, my first name is not mentioned among other relatives, and that makes me the only one.

you would be in the Guinness Book of Records unsub.

I find that really hard to believe..

You contradicted yourself. You have basically said that I claimed to have the only unique name in the whole world. That is the same as saying that I had the only first and last name unique in my family history. All people in the world with my surname are related to me.

There "are" only 500 people in the entire world with my last name, currently. There could have been at least 700+ people that have ever had my last name. We are the only group that has a a surname unique to our family tree.
