In opposition to what cultural-left activists argue, Indigenous Australians instead of being oppressed are equal before the law, are able to vote in elections and entitled to hold high office as proven by the recent decision to preselect Jacinta Price to the Australian Senate, an Aboriginal woman of Warlpiri descent. The way civics and citizenship is taught in the national curriculum also adopts a cultural-left perspective that ignores the fact we are a relatively peaceful and prosperous nation because we have inherited a unique political and legal system and way of life. A system underpinned by Christian concepts like the inherent dignity of the person and the need to work for social justice and the common good. A system that draws on a Westminster parliamentary form of government inherited from the United Kingdom. In addition to Florida, Arkansas, Idaho and Oklahoma have also banned teaching critical race theory in schools. Also significant is that the Australian Senate recently passed a motion 30-28 calling “on the federal government to reject critical race theory from the national curriculum”. I've posted for many years now a list of Rights adhering to humans - not one opponent has yet put forward any example where any individual here does not have all Rights.... hence from its outset, feminism and its bastard children are out of line..... and rather than attacking the very society that nurtures their ability to put a case and claim, they would be far better served working with it as team members.

And my understanding is that its a subset of what called Critical Legal Studies. CLS is about looking at the subjective application of laws rather than the objective formulation. On a podcast I heard one of the earliest examples in the CLS sphere was a law in an American city in the early 1900s applied to motor vehicle speeding to try and prevent pedestrian deaths etc. Whilst objectively that law sounds great, because the police force at the time didn't really like going after the wealthy, the subjective application of that law meant that pedestrian deaths didn't really drop. Why? because at that time only the wealthy could own cars and therefore only the wealthy sped.

Not all 'lefties' actually swallow this cancel-culture bullshit.

So there is an attempt to say that being more subject to attention from the law has nothing to do with your innate criminal behaviour and repeat offending, but has everything to do with some subjective application of law?

So if a certain group does more drive-bys and shooting in driveways and such - legal intervention is nothing but a form of discrimination?

The Dumb Gov has created a law to prevent nothing and you give him praise. He is also a righty governor who didn't lock down when needed causing many peoples death.

This ranting about CRT is about winding up the dumb right supporters about nothing, it is about playing politics with this just because they have nothing real in the arsenal.

This is about the right playing on just how dumb they think that their supporters are and it is sad that we see people proving they are correct.
