The media is in the business of peddling bullshit it's not like it used to be on reporting truth it's now about using clickbait to be first they can always correct it later when nobody will read the correction.

If the news was that influential in how people responded to the coronavirus pandemic, then we would realistically be seeing people demanding their vaccinations as soon as possible. But, the reality is that people are waiting their turn to get the vaccination for those that want it.

This is not a walking dead scenario where death from the virus is certain. And we do not have a "vaccines cause infertility" issue where people do not want to end the chances of having children by taking a vaccine.

All the news has done for the community I live is to get us shaking our heads in mild irritation about how the politicians have politicised a communicable disease that nearly everyone survives and recovers. Having to wear a face mask for 2 weeks and having to check in wherever I go to shop, it is not an imposition on me. But, this subject on one particular virus has really limited the scope of diverse worldwide topics to be discussed alternatively. People are starting to feel dumber as a result of the lack of inspiration.

There's only two ways to know how to do it...

Listen to those who have lived through an existential crisis, or learn from the community who wrote about it.

Most of us have no living reference points, having been separated by 80-60 years from the last lot who took it on.
