Title: Covid Whinge of the Week Post by JaSin. on Aug 13th, 2021 at 11:50am
Goes to the Australian Olympic Athletes who got to keep their careers going while other's lost their businesses and que-jump the Vaccine roll-out over Essential Workers and Aged so they could travel (while others can't even see a dying loved one) into a highly infected Nation, get some Medals and then have a big whinge about having to have 28 days in Quarrantine isolation back in Australia while other Australians have been in that limbo for months.
Lets not forget those cheating Cricketers who sneaked over to India for their $$$ even though India was a mass infected nation and then whinged when they didn't get their red-carpet back into the country (sneaking through the Maldives instead) and que-jump Vaccine. Shame Shame Shame. Convict Ancestors label this generation of Australians crying about 'being locked-down' as the WhingeFest Generation. |

Yeah, I sort of agree. It would be interesting to see how the population dealt with the pandemic if it got out of hand. Like the Spanish Flu where people dropped dead in the street. Of course it could come to that, if the Delta variant mutates.

Being sick for a few days with a chest infection is not worth locking down state after state and holding off tourism for 18 months. It is the elderly and those that cannot handle disease that should stay locked down.
Had the disease been a type of AIDS virus or leprosy, I could imagine the very need to have the lock downs. |
