Flash Gordon is the best super-hero
because he never had a super-power like every other Super-Hero currently out there.
Hell, even his Gridiron skills fell short,
but his political honesty is what brought the people together to overthrow their oppressor.

Flash Gordon should be the President of the USA - he truly would be the Greatest of them all.

As I said, we all have x-ray vision, infallibility in our decision-making, absolute right in our actions, and a nobility beyond the ken of mere mortals, just like all these amazing super-heroes .... just ask us... occasionally, though, the software behind these immaculate powers can be infected by virus from outside or even be factory fault or can steadily deteriorate, and can suffer badly in its operating system. Sometimes a defrag, anti-virus run or even a full software re-boot is needed to resolve issues of software gone wrong, and there are various clean-up programs on the market that may help.

Sometimes replacement of the entire unit is the only answer, along with disposal of the old unit.

Plenty of Money, like Iron Man - gave him the ability to have 'artificial' technological super-powers.

Flash Gordon had nothing. No magic weapon, no godly bloodline, no chemical enhancement, no ring of power, etc, etc.
