Title: Member's mother passes away.
Post by Bobby. on Nov 27th, 2021 at 7:09am
Some bad news for poor Monk posted this morning at his site:

Monk,

Quote:
Mum passed away at 01:08 this morning. Her ending was peaceful. Her three children, a grandchild and our lovely Chinese neighbors were there. Pneumonia alone would not have done it, sepsis had set in.

In a way it was victory, death summoned before all traces of her were taken away by the bloody dementia! I will send a donation to whatever body is researching causes and cures of dementia. Will also see if co-donations can be collected after the funeral service.

Mum was a lapsed Catholic. I know the funeral directors she wanted—they have a chapel that used to be a Catholic church so both Mum and the chapel are lapsed Catholics!

Tomorrow (Sunday) I will drive to the house of my younger sister and spend a couple of days there. Will see if I can contact what is left of the family in Holland.

My condolences Monk.

Bobby

So Sad.

In time there will be good memories and little smiles with the sadness.

posting personal information from other sites on the internet is a bannable offense goober.

Did you ask monk if he wanted info on the death of his mum posted here before announcing it to all of ozpol? Or did your juices start flowing when you found some more gossip to spread around and your couldn't help yourself?

Give it a break, there would be a public death notice anyway.

Bobby is constantly criticizing Monk's board as being a "gay" or "poofter" site so why would he even read there unless he is looking for cock?

I was not going to buy into this but I now have Monk's permission to do so.  If he had not given that permission, I would have said nothing.

Bubby, you are a turd of the first order.  A gossipy little prick who needs to learn some respect for people.

The information concerning the passing of Monk's mother was Monks to share, when and where he wanted to share it.  It is his choice to make, and not some snotty nosed arsehole like you.

You have posted Member personal information contrary to Rules here, and to use Monk's own words...he is 'hurt and offended I could not announce the death on OzPol myself and hope he bans Bobo for a smacking year!'

At Monk's request, I will be reporting that breach to freediver.

You need to sharpen your pencil about matters which are personally sensitive Bubby.

And a telegram from the Queen given she was over 100 years old.

I have no idea why anyone would be sad to lose someone at age 100 plus.

I lost mum last year and she was just UNDER 70 yrs of age.

That was sad. It still tears me up. If only I could have had an extra 3 decades like Monk did. Id be thankful just for an extra 3 years.

When I posted about my mother's passing elsewhere online others came forward to tell me they could empathise as their mums had passed too. Some in their 30's and some in their 40's.

These posts made me realise how lucky and blessed I was to have lost mum just before she reached 70.

It's all a matter of perspective.

We need to be thankful for the years we had our mums. And to remember those years.

That's all we can do.

Anyway back to this topic ... what a good innings Monk.

Rare innings too. You should be proud of her Monk. I'm proud of her and I don't even know her! I love strong women and for her to get to 100 plus she was a VERY tough girl indeed! 🌹

You would expect someone to die at any day, given that they are over 100 years old. But that person would still have been part of their children's lives for several decades. So, it would hurt for a while. If anyone in my family died today, I would not be well for a long time. Physically. Emotionally. You are never too old to mourn.

Aussie, how about just deleting this thread. I feel the tone is already wrong.

if you think (you know him better) this will upset him or cause any sort of angst, delete it. It is no the time for our standard forum BS on a personal matter such is this. A thread dedicated to this is completely unnecessary.

If Monk wants to share about it or how he feels, he should initiate it, we should be empathetic if he wants to share or discuss on a public forum.

Yes, he should initiate it, but he cannot as he is banned from OzPol ATM.

I have posted some of his words, and I have done what he asked of me, breaching my own Rule in doing so, but I regard this as exceptional.

If he wanted it deleted, he would have said so.  If he now wants it deleted, no doubt he will tell me and I will accommodate.

You would expect someone to die at any day, given that they are over 100 years old. But that person would still have been part of their children's lives for several decades. So, it would hurt for a while. If anyone in my family died today, I would not be well for a long time. Physically. Emotionally. You are never too old to mourn.

I'd be too busy being thankful for such an a awesome innings.

(Then again I'm probably saying that because I lost my dad when I was a kid and my mum never got to see 70).

I've just read back.

Here we are...in a Relationships sub forum and we can't post about relationships.

Well I stand by my posts. They were written with nothing but pure and good intent.

I'm still grieving the recent loss of my own mum and I would have loved to have had more time with her.

What a blessing to have had a strong mum who attained the 100 yr milestone. Can there be a bigger blessing in life than that?

As I have made plain elsewhere I consider Bobo’s copy and paste of my notice on MY forum to here HIGHLY OFFENSIVE! It is STALKING!

I will ask FD to ban Bobo for 12 months! Considering the several long bans, for no reason, no breach of rules, I have suffered this year a 1 year ban for OFFENSIVE STALKING is not too much.

I want this ban to extend to the sewer where the mincing poodle ALSO c&p my notice! What a brainless insensitive piece of sewage is Bobo!

To those who have posted appropriate messages—thank you. The passing of a parent is always hard on children/grandchildren lefr behind but if Mum had survived some more months she may not have known who she was or I or my siblings were.

To some extent i think that my loss has not yet sunk in. I will stay with one of my sisters for a few days soon, might be good not to be alone.

I had told the minicing queer that his use of an image of my dog Demi was highly offensive to me. So the mincing queer does it AGAIN! Several times in one thread here. Like, WTF, we know he has neither brains nor manners  but deliberate repetitions of offensive behavior?

Log out of here, Monk, and spend some time away from these creeps.

Spend time reflecting on your mum's wonderful life - not the sad lives of these worthless trolls.

Log off, take a few days away from here, and collect your thoughts.

My thoughts are with you (as Dad is once again very close to the end, so I know what it's like).

Don't waste your time here.  Have a beer, and relax.

I'll have a drink for you Mum tonight.

If he was able to log in then he isn't banned. Or he was banned but has been milking it by not logging in until now. The latter is the most likely scenario.

I was surprised to be able to log on yesterday, one day short of a month of this latest bullshit ban. I am sure the ban was supposed to run for 3 months and these bullshit bans are FD vainly trying to get me to resign the Critters and Gardens modship. I can only think the poofter copying the notice of my mother’s death to here is the reason this latest ban was ended early.

Coopers Sparkling Ale. A nice drop in a world of hyperhoppy IPAs.

Mum did not drink beer. Not sure why, maybe a Victorian hangover(!) that women didn’t drink beer. I did get her to take a sip of a beer I made and flavored with quandongs—the only beer she ever drank.

She never smoked either—her face even at 100 years was unlined except the bags under her eyes. I pity the young women smoking—their faces will be wrinkled like a prune by the time they reach 60.
