MOSCOW, Feb 18 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin will oversee exercises by Russia's nuclear forces
on Saturday involving the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles,
the defence ministry said, in its latest show of strength
at a time of acute tension with the West over Ukraine.

Most oppose Putins actions and prefer to be Pro-European, rather than Pro-Asian (like the USSR).

Putin is on his own. The Russian populace is not with him.
His smaller Military power (compared to the mighty USSR version) lacks capability to both War with other nations and control the populace, like the USSR could.

This is the beginning of the end for Russia as a Super-Power.
