Title: Texas response to Bidens open border
Post by Baronvonrort on Apr 9th, 2022 at 10:55pm

Quote:
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he'll bus thousands of migrants to Washington D.C. and check all vehicles at the border to stop cartels as he declares war on Biden's 'open border' policies

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he will be be bussing thousands of illegal migrants who cross the border straight to Washington DC and leaving them on the steps of the US Capitol for President Biden to deal with.

Announcing the new plan at a press conference Wednesday, the GOP governor said: 'To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who’ve been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington DC.

'We are sending them to the US capital where the Biden admin will be more immediately able to address the needs of the people who come across our border.'

He should send busloads to Beverly Hills and Marthas Vineyard as well.

I wonder if he will tell the people of Texas how much this is going to cost them?

Is he going to offer to send volunteers where they want to go at the expense of his taxpayers?

He does not have the authority to force anyone to get on a bus so they would be volunteers.

I'm all for it, why not let the refugees go where they want to go?

Very generous but I imagine the people of Texas may have some reservations about the cost.

Probably cost less to bus them - they are illegals and have no rights so busing them is no problem - than to allow the impact on the local economy.... Texans would be happy to see the end of them.... it's only 100 years or so that Texas Rangers shot anyone trying to sneak across the border.... the memory must linger.... the guy contracted to hunt down Bonny and Clyde (Texans) was supposed to have killed over 300 men, most of them Mexicans trying to sneak across the border.

Actually this is not true, they do in fact have rights when they are registered. If Abbott wants to forcibly do anything he would need to change the federal laws.

In legal terms this would be the same as going to anyone's home and forcibly putting the residents on a bus to somewhere. No its not something that can legally be done.

They can ask if they would like a bus ride, that's ok.

No it sounds good to me as well.

These people are not forced to go - they are given the option to go if they would like to. I have no problem with this at all.

Abbott has confirmed that this is the case - that it is voluntary.

And the people of Texas will have to pay for it.

The Trump goons want the republican border states to do something a lot more drastic, this is Abbotts attempt to appease the Trump extremists without doing something insane.

Abbott put in requirements to check all trucks crossing the boarder. There were 14 hour delays to cross this would have quickly impacted shelf stock across the country.

Biden pointed out that this was costing Texas about $1Billion a day. Abbott reversed it all the next day.

The plan was to do this to force inflation higher to blame Biden but he was caught with his pants down when the cost was revealed and linked to Abbott not Biden.

Turns out that the Abbott truck blockade (stunt) ended up costing the USA $9Billion in GDP and cost Texas about $4Billion.

Whoops.

Also yes the Texan Taxpayer is paying for volunteer bus rides to the capital in his other recent stunt which is great for the refugee claimants who would like to go there.

They drop them off at the Fox news offices.

The thing I don't understand about the border issue is why no administration has done anything about it. You cannot entirely blame the Democrats. Trump had four years to stop illegal immigration through the Mexican border, and all he did was build a billboard for himself. Militarise the border. Take the Mexican government to task for allowing illegals to pass through their country.

It is not illegal to legally travel to the US and request asylum, it's a bit like Australia and all signatories to the refugee convention.

I visited Auschwitz back in 2013 (?), and in one of the housing barracks there's a huge pile of suitcases.

One of them belonged to Anne Frank's sister (so the tour guide told me).

What on earth is your point? I have looked at the video.

An "illegal" migrant escaped from a vehicle which had been stopped by police, ran into the middle of the road to escape to the other side, and was instantly struck by another  passing vehicle -  a tragedy.

How could  the other "illegal" migrants "run to help their friend" (!), after he was hit full-on by a vehicle travelling at 100 kms per hour, causing instant death??

Where's YOUR brain???

55 second mark, right half of vid. Look, blinkered bozo, with all your eyes, look! (Apologies to Jules Verne).

How can "illegal" migrants run to help a bloodied corpse which everyone had just witnessed was horrifyingly smashed  into the air at 100 kms per hour before landing on the side of the road?

You think one tragedy means they should have all just given up and contemplated the obscenity of it all, while being arrested? (hey.. survival 'fight or flight' instincts  kick in, via the unthinking reptilian brain).

The reason why all this horror is happening of course, is  the evil emanating from the "freedom-loving"  repitilian brain, which stands in the way of properly-instituted WTO 'fair trade' rules, to preserve  your 'dog-eat dog' "free-trade" rules.

Bernie Sanders is well aware of the need for secure borders in our broken reptilian-brain-led world featuring  100 million refugees from war and poverty; that's why he doesn't agree with the open border policy of some Dems.

Hence.......

What a chimaera then is man, what a novelty, what a monster, what chaos, what a subject of contradiction, what a prodigy! Judge of all things, yet an imbecile earthworm; depository of truth, yet a sewer of uncertainty and error; pride and refuse of the universe. Who shall resolve this tangle?” ― Blaise Pascal, Pensées.

Pascal couldn't explain it; he wasn't aware of (the effects of) the vestigial reptilian brain in humans.

During a portion of an interview with CNN aired on Friday’s edition of “The Lead,” Yuma Border Sector Chief Patrol Agent Chris Clem stated that, previously, the Border Patrol dealt with people from Mexico and other countries in Central America who could be processed and put in removal proceedings and/or returned to Mexico. But now, there are people from so many different countries who are flying in and coming to the border and have to be processed and there are “so many of them that it is posing a challenge to the workforce.”

If you can't protect your borders you are not a country. The Biddens of this world want just that.

Why do the needs of aliens trump the needs of Americans? In what kind of universe does an American government owe more to aliens wanting to enter than to Americans???  And how does this insane ideology get exported and accepted by other countries?

Conservatism in all it's indifference; solve the dysfunctional global economy by closing borders.  At least Bernie recognizes the problem, Conservatives are simply blind to the problems, as always.

Sanders amounts to nothing.

An old Jew ignored by the clowns to the left of him and the clowns to the right of him in the Dem party.

That's only your opinion.

Whereas 100 million refugees fleeing war and poverty in our broken world is fact.

Conservatism is satisfied with "shut them out", whereas Bernie is an internationalist like all good socialists.

In which case, he'd be better off applying for a job in the United Nations, then he could meet up with Aussie Stalinist Gareth Evans, they'd make a good team
