Would they be elected on the basis of institutionalised racism, or would they be treated as an equal to every other Australian and elected democratically? Because you don't need a referendum for the latter.

This is a nation of democracy of equals - they already have as much voice as anyone else, in fact, more so given the preference they receive, so there is no need for any extra voice.

They could always form their own party and come out in the open and tell us all exactly what they think they are entitled to.... and what they will do inf they ever get power in Parliament.

That is the democratic way - not this quotas nonsense.

You just reminded me why I will not vote Labor..

‘All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others’.

This is a parody of Stalinist Russia

A proclamation by the pigs who control the government in the novel Animal Farm, by George Orwell. The sentence is a comment on the hypocrisy of governments that proclaim the absolute equality of their citizens but give power and privileges to a small elite.

As usual Brian has nothing to say he just provides links.

Perhaps these Indigenous leaders should do somethig about youth crime.

Escalating youth crime triggers large-scale police expansion to WA's Pilbara region

A large-scale police operation designed to tackle escalating youth crime rates in regional WA has been expanded to the Pilbara.

Operation Regional Shield was launched by the state government in response to rising youth crime rates in the regions, with children as young as 10 stealing cars and using them to ram police vehicles.

Last month, taxi drivers in Hedland went on a week-long strike and threatened to take further action if Operation Regional Shield was not brought to the Pilbara.

In the East Pilbara, Newman has previously been compared to a "war zone" due to rampant break-ins and car thefts.

Inside the Australian town becoming 'unlivable' due to a crime spree as bar owner broken into seven times in four weeks warns 'somebody is going to get killed'

A group of wild teenage delinquents are causing havoc in a town in Western Australia's far north with locals saying the community is fast becoming 'unlivable'.

Kununurra was again hit by another round of vandalism and violence on Tuesday night with three businesses broken into and a police car rammed.

Pub owner Darren Spackman said there was a group of people who were out-of-control and the town was effectively 'under siege'.

His business, Gulliver's Tavern, has been 'targeted' and broken into on seven separate occasions in the last month.

'We're getting really tired of making apologies for being unable to open our bar but unfortunately once again here we are... no bar or kitchen due to another break-in,' the business posted on Facebook.

A local woman in the same community Facebook page said  some businesses 'deal with this every night'.

This has been continuously happening for years and years now. The police lock them up and the courts let them out,' she wrote.

'How can a town in Australia become unlivable all because of 14 or 15 bad eggs?' Mr Spackman told GWN 7 News.

'It's got to stop. Somebody is going to get killed sooner or later, there's just no need for it.'

'Targeting police houses, police cars, they actually ram raided two police vehicles in front of the police station... that has to be an act of terrorism.'

A Kununurra community page detailed several incidents in recent days and weeks including shop and home windows being smashed and personal items stolen, with photos of the alleged crimes.

Mr Blanch said many of the teens had done stints in detention centres only to be released and cause trouble again.

They can have all the say in parliament they like.
The new world order, ie... W.E.F  are going to do what they like. Small indigenous communities are not on their agenda so nothing will change for these communities.

It's almost as if the gov are just letting this crime go on in an effort to counter it with harsh new laws that will see these communities closed.
Wouldn't be surprised.

Changing the Constitution which says all Citizens are equal to say Aborigines are superior.

Can anyone else see anything wrong with that?

All the Laws must be written in English and Aboriginal language and all the Place Names must change to Aboriginal.

It will not be Adelaide anymore but Kaurna. And so on.

I say no.

Well - they are at war with Whartey .. all good as long as Whartey supports and feeds them etc... wonder what would happen to a home or shop owner or cop attacked who killed one???

Give 'em a homeland of their own and throw away the key... see how long their own put up with that kind of behaviour.

Stuff the electoral process - just hand out the seats according to a formula... no wonder the Neo-Nazis of the left want that - give the government absolute control..... time is coming, people...... kicking a sleeping giant is not a good idea....
