My top 3 are :

Medicine (anything to do with medicine/surgery)

Engineering (chemical/mechanical/structural etc)

Science (biomedical/maths etc)

Why ?

Every person I have known who has graduated with any of the above degrees has proven to be an incredible human being with amazing intellect and has made a positive difference in our world.

The BA is a good one to have under belt, that gets your foot in the door as a politician or a PR type numbskull.

I did an information technology degree (but not completed). Admittedly, it really opened my mindset to the possibilities and could have been a really good degree to have, had I had a better attitude in completing the degree.

However, students from overseas said that they did some of the degrees. All that they found was that it was so basic, it was a joke to them. Realistically, if you wanted to push yourself, you should at least be able to design basic computer games by the time you have graduated with a degree in information technology from CQU.

A mate of mine was telling me after he got his BA, that BA stood for "Bugger All" ,

All it was good for at that time was to get one into the 3rd Division of the Federal Public Service, not required these days I believe.

I got my BA from Sydney University and that opened a few doors for me (HR management and high school teaching).
