What has been your favourite streaming series to date?

Well, I've got to say, the best series I've seen so far is "For All Mankind" on Apple TV. I was wondering whether it was just me but no, the critics absolutely loved it too. I highly recommend it.

Animal Kingdom was brilliant (the US version, not the UK one )

Stan for now.
I roam with the streaming winds. But Stan has the magisterial and greatest Better Call Saul. |

Oh sh1t! I didn't know there was a UK version. The US version is based on an Australian movie. |

Bosch. Gotta a feeling that I can't let go

Title: Re: Your favourite streaming series Post by greggerypeccary on Jun 27th, 2022 at 7:10pm Oh yeah, Bosch. Love that series, and the new one with his daughter as a cop. Good old-fashioned LA cop drama. I can't believe the female lead - can't remember her name right now - was married to Tom Cruise. Tom looks about 35, and she looks about 75. Nature can be cruel. |

Got 4 series of Bosch on dvd for very cheap. I started watching the first series. Then I gave up. It seems like a good show. I seem to have a real problem trying to get my viewing habits in order.

Sorry I gave a spoiler there, about his daughter, but it was pretty obvious all along. It's a great series - I think there are seven seasons all up, and then it moves on to Bosch Legacy. |

Well, I am a stalker of the actress Madison Lintz. Not actually a stalker. Just a fan of the girl. I could not really give a damn about her Walking Dead years. But, Maddie seems like she has a good future ahead of her. I bought up all the series of Modern Family. Now, I have no idea what I did with the first few seasons of MF. Sanity did a 75% off sale, and I bought Modern Family series as well as the season 3 to season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead. |

I watched 2 episodes of Walking Dead, total garbage. And dude Maddie Lintz has been legal for 5 years, hope you haven't been stalking her for too long. |

I have only heard of Maddie Lintz since 2015, when she was 16 years old. Saw some photos of her back then and thought that she had a nice set of legs on her. She has turned into a stunner as an adult. I found my Modern Family season 1 series last night. I was looking at a young Ariel Winter, thinking "She is going to go from being a sweet looking girl like her to being a WHEY-HEY-HEY looking young lady". Then I had to drum my face a few times to wake myself up thinking about the fact that I was drooling over what she looks like as an adult, when she was barely a teen in the first season of Modern Family. Julie Bowen took my mind off my social dilemma. So there's that. |

Better Call Saul.
And when I am sick of the human condition, "Love Death and Robots." |

Yes, me and my son binge it together.
And he is 16, no small feat getting a teen to watch something with his Dad. |

Lamer Things Season 4 currently steaming on Netsux where, by the way, for a mere $16/month you can watch crappy Seinfeld reruns.
The horrible acting, bad writing, editing and cinematography do it for me where once again we see the Scooby-Doo/Goonie Gang go on another "adventure" into gaping plot holes, insulting stereotypes, and pointless nostalgia. I did like the monster who looks like a cross between the Swamp Thing and Keith Richards and talks like Tom Waits: "Maaaaaax, why are you trying to out method acting me, Maaaaax?" My fav part was when they were in Utah (really Georgia) mocking the Moomies who pretty much own that god damn state. Chubby-thighed tartan-sporting "Suzie" and her mythological computer that saves the world from...um, other 80's trope memes? No question, that was cool. I like big butts and I can not lie. You other brothers can't deny |
Title: Re: Your favourite streaming series Post by AusGeoff on Jul 17th, 2022 at 7:34am I find most streaming services a bit too low-brow. I tend to be more of a PornHub kinda bloke. It's a bit more mentally stimulating too—and at my age the old brain needs a bit of a massage occasionally. |
Title: Re: Your favourite streaming series Post by Jake Winker Frogen on Jul 17th, 2022 at 1:47pm
Better Call Saul.
If you do not watch this, you disgust me. And I pity you. |
Title: Re: Your favourite streaming series Post by Marla on Jul 18th, 2022 at 9:50am
What else did I forget? Oh yeah, queer baiting, faux lesbianism, 80's horror movie plagiarism, recycled story lines and predictable cliffhangers.
"Dude, we're on Netsux." "Yeah, this series blows dead dog balls." |
