If you have never been arrested, you have never really lived.

The thing is if you sweet talk the cops.

Things go a lot better than if you curse them out and fight them.

I learned that one after the first arrest.

And my first arrest was in Arkansas.

It is a miracle I as not shot.

By the way, I plead innocent to all charges.

Past, present and future.

I reckon I would have made great law talking guy.

My last arrest I had the cops patting me on the back and saying they "hope I work things out."

We built a bond.

I really wish there was some app where you could get all your mug shots?

There would have been some classic idiot mullets and smiles in two of them.

And some "what the bugger did I just do" in the other two.

I want to sell them on Ebay.

No crime that hurt anyone other than myself.

Let me make that clear.

A lot of self harm is considered criminal in our puritanical, half wit world.

But.....Frogbone, your point is not of a 'law talking' kind at all.  It is a recognition of politics talking on SCOTUS and how the US of A is fundamentally fuqqed because of the naked, blatant politicisation of judicial appointments which overlays a Constitution waaaaaaaay past its use by date.

Those judges are also influenced by the cultural and social zeitgeist.

Which is why one SCOTUS can uphold 'separate but equal' as constitutional while another, decades later, can strike it down as unconstitutional.

They do - it's not for any court to MAKE law. That's for the elected representatives.  That's a pretty solid constitutional theory.
Also note the common law tradition in which cases are decided by courts on the basis of previous legal practice and decisions. Britain has a constitution but it is not codified in a single Act of Parliament precisely for this reason: the various acts, conventions, earlier judgements meet the purpose of a single code in other countries that were derived from the British system. The US, Australia maintain the common law tradition while also having a single written constitution that was in each case 'constituting a new country with it's own parliamentary authority, legal and political etc system. But common law is in the blood of all three polities (and some others with Britannic inheritance).

When you are the defendant standing before a court none of that matters.

You are only trying to impress your humanity before the court.

The law is not about human decency, kindness, love and understanding.

Law has nothing to do with human wisdom or kindness, love or redemption.

You know the most pathetic thing about my arressts is I committed crimes that I could never benefit from.

It was all self destructive daring the boring world to catch me.

I never risked my life for money or power.
