if you look at the MOST successful multicultural countries , what do they all have in common.


america, england, canada, australia, new zealand, india, singapore and israel.

these countries (unlike places like japan or south korea or china ) are reasonably cohesive melting pots.

and they are all off shoots of the british empire.

they all used british codified law as their basis.

the west is owed a lot of respect for what it has achieved

Liberal MP Andrew Hastie, visiting Washington as opposition defence spokesman, has questioned US and allies’ ability to withstand Chinese and Russian expansionism amid “toxic” internal divisions over gender and energy that have caused the second Elizabethan age to end “in darkness”.

In a pessimistic speech in the US capital on Thursday, Mr Hastie suggested the US had not ­developed the “grand strategy” necessary to inspire confidence among its allies, including Australia, let alone ensure the victory of democratic nations against their authoritarian competitors led by China and Russia. “If we can’t agree on basic definitions of gender, how can we possibly agree on national strategy? If we can’t agree on Western values, how can we defend the West?” he said at the Hudson Institute.

“These tensions are tearing at the fabric of our democracies. Many among us are no longer confident of truth, tradition and our democratic values,” he added, suggesting internal threats, ­including inflation and energy shortages, were “even more dangerous” than external.

Debates over gender, race and climate change have come to dominate mainstream political debate between and within the Republican and Democratic parties in the US, displacing more traditional disputes over taxation, welfare and foreign policy.

“The toxins are in the mainstream now – seeping through the media, in entertainment, in our schools, and in our families. It has brought disruption. This has political consequences for the Western body politic,” Mr Hastie said, arguing “the eyes of the world” were “upon the United States – watching for hesitancy, lack of ­resolve and weakness”.

“The US must develop a grand strategy that outlasts congressional and presidential electoral cycles, and that can weather the worst of any domestic political disagreements.”

He speaks for about 15 minutes, starting around the 16 min mark. He quotes Rudd on Hugh White being " from the Lord Halifax Appeasement Faction of the Green Left. With supreme self-confidence, White considers America already done for as a regional (and probably global) power; it should “gracefully withdraw” from Asia, leaving the keys for Beijing in the mailbox; and Australia should start chatting to our Marxist-Leninist friends in Beijing about our “role” in the new regional Sinosphere."

Africans. Indians, Arabs, Maori, etc aren't exactly yellow peril, are they?

And the West is a cultural term, not a geographic one. But you know that yet try to fudge it. Why?


the key word is assimilation, not race. Cultural assimilation. There has to be a clear cultural shared ground or it all goes to shite.

What IS that shared cultural core to which every immigrant to the West must assimilate to?  Yes, must assimilate to - otherwise it is not a shared core, is it?
And on top of that, there is a NATIONAL core to assimilate to.

Western culture includes flying old aircraft as a hobby and sometimes very flimsy aircraft are taken up
