Title: Right wing sources
Post by FutureTheLeftWant on Oct 1st, 2022 at 4:17pm
It's not just here, everywhere I go, when I talk to the right, they 'prove' their claims with links to webites no one has heard of, with a document far right bias.  If they want to criticise something someone on the left said, they won't link you to the speech, but exerpts with Ben Shapiro or Tucker Carlson ranting and lying about it

We know the right are all over 70 or have an IQ below 70.  I guess I wonder, is it time to deny people above a certain age access to the internet because they are not experienced enough to navigate or understand it? The only alternative is to deny them the vote because the INTERNET makes them vote right wing based on fantasy and BS

They're a strange lot, that's for sure.

As you say, whenever they provide a source for their nonsense it's always some nut-job like Alex Jones or Tucker Carlson.

They even think The Gateway Pundit is a legitimate news source.

And, whenever their wacky conspiracy theories are shot down in flames by reputable sources they just ignore it and call it fake news.

Not only do they lack the ability to learn, but they just don't want to anyway.

It's a very strange phenomenon.

Or worse, a blog no one has ever heard of that is literally another person their age, of their politics, posting the same opinions they hold.

Jeez - you guys and mothra must watch a lot of those right wing shock jocks .... can't be bothered with them myself....  but each to his own, eh?

Now who'd 've thunk that greg, mothra and lefty would cosy up on a fine but cool Sunday?  For some reason they seem to imagine they have common cause in their uncommon cause...... it's a form of borderline....

Hmm - rain again....

An emu has no wings, a big bum and a small head in the sand. As Voltaire said, stay home and do the gardening.

That's an ostrich

Voltaire would have never seen an emu. ;D

Who are Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson?  Anyway, you comment about some not wanting to learn etc gels with the rising ride of opposition to the tranny hysteria and the gathering clouds of science as it develops showing the serious flaws in that whole hysterical nonsense.

Now who is it that wants to say that is all lies or right wing conspiracies or just nothing real?

If opposition saves just one kid from taking the death leap or taking the unnecessary cut that will do nothing for them but lead to greater problems... I'm all for it.

.. a little garlic, some white wine vinegar (or red if you prefer), ginger if you like, a teaspoon of Green Curry paste, add ingredients into chicken stock, heat and add thickener of your choice.... pour over thin sliced beef or prawns with shallots and snow peas, chicken or pork as you like ..... on a bed of rice or with rice as a side.... noodles if you prefer ....

N.B.  All left wing sauces taste much better fully and attentitively stirred with the right hand...

You have a history of bagging right-wing people. Now you are claiming that they are over 70 years of age or have an IQ below 70. Are you that intimidated by the elderly or the dim-witted that you have to make it your mission to ostracise them?

Obviously, you have an obsession to make false associations with people who do not agree with you completely. If someone is not pro-gay, pro-transgender, pro-Green voter, etc., you have an issue with them that they have to be vilified with your keyboard warrior antics.

Live and let live.

Contrary to the popular myth, ostriches do not bury their head in the sand when scared or frightened. Ostriches dig shallow holes in the sand to serve as nests for their eggs. The ostrich will use its beak several times a day to turn the eggs in the nest, creating the illusion of burying its head in the sand.

Emus eat fruits and seeds.  Grit is not required for birds on pellets, and these birds normally obtain sand from eating items off the ground.  Birds eating too much gravel or sand can lead to impaction problems.

Emus don't do gardening.

To be clear, lots of people I meet helping the Greens are elderly.  Old people are not all scum.  The scum are mostly old because they are clinging to the racism and sexism of the past.

If someone hates gays, trans kids, and society, then yes, I look down on them

Where are you ever going to find people like that - other than in your own petri dish mind?

Master calling.....

FTLW hates people that are not gay, trans, or Islamic fundamentalists. Strangely, he has a problem trying to figure out why Islam is incompatible with having gays and trans people living around them.

IT's weird that you're so retarded.  I hate scum

I know gay Muslims.  I've known a few, actually.

The Bible and Qran do not condemn being trans.  Only conservatives do that.  You are white ISIS

Down with the cis-axial patriarchy
How to debate an evil right-winger (if you must)

Debate is a form of violence. This is why I support the policy of universities “de-platforming” speakers with problematic opinions. After all, impressionable students are hardly likely to be persuaded if there’s no one there to do the persuading.

Conservatives will often try to blindside their opponents with “facts”

Conservatives will often try to blindside their opponents with “facts” and “logic”, slippery manoeuvres that end up making it look as though social justice activists like me don’t know what we are talking about. But for those of you who insist on engaging with these cretins, here are some foolproof techniques.

Firstly, one needs to consider carefully one’s choice of words. “Fascist” and “Nazi” are excellent examples of terms which never fail to undermine the confidence of the unenlightened or the working class. I routinely use them to describe anyone who voted for the Tories, or who supports the monarchy, and the fact that people tend to act so defensively when you compare them to Hitler only goes to show that the analogy is sound.

The other surefire strategy is to convey one’s point of view through the language of intersectional feminist theory. For instance, instead of using the phrase “all straight white men are evil”, you might say “I refuse to redact my positionality in deference to hegemonic cis-axial neopatriarchy normalised through oppressive structural discourses of heteropestilential violence enacted on bodies of colour”. The unreconstructed bigots of the right are rarely well-schooled in such terminology, and at this point will usually just give up.

But perhaps the best way to win an argument is to simply refuse to talk to your opponent in the first place. Why should those with the wrong opinions be free to express themselves? “Free speech” is an extremist ideology. It was invented by the ancient Greeks, a bunch of dead white males who also invented slavery, pederasty and pornographic pottery.

So next time you’re confronted with a right-wing reactionary who is keen to bully you with their thoughts, try some of the techniques I’ve outlined here. Brand them a “Nazi”, bludgeon them with intersectional jargon or, better still, pretend they don’t exist.

Game, set and match.
