I'm no fan of Rinehart however I agree with her decision here. The precious, woke netball girls have learned a harsh but necessary lesson. Pity it will affect everyone, not just the whinging virtue signallers, but they can now explain to all the other players why they they will most likely have to stop being full time professionals and have to seek other jobs. ::)

In 1984, and Lang said that?
This is 2022 and Gina - who I have no time for - said nothing of the sort. Let them lie in their own beds then. SOTH again.................. You reckon there's no booga-looga in there? WGAF in this day and age? Nose, build..... this was Western Australia, you know.... |

How is it that little old me finds himself, because of the antics of trannies, supporting feminists .... now, given the antics of the Indigenous, I'm defending people they hate (without reason might I add).. What is going on with this world? I guess I'll just have to admit it - I'm a fair-minded person who hates nobody, but expects fair play... |

If the Abo on the Diamonds has issue with Hancock Prospecting, would it not be better to have a relationship with them in some form? Maybe she could have sat down with Gina and discussed any current issues, got to know her, maybe lobby her company to hire more abbos?
I guess these days tantrums are in, dialogue is out. |

To my mind, the outcome from all of this that would have been best for everybody would have been for Gina to distance her company from her repulsive father's comments.
Could have been a win all round. Not to mention a fabulous opportunity for positive PR and bridge building. |

In a subsequent statement, the mining giant stuck the boot in further, saying “Hancock and its executive chairman Mrs Rinehart consider that it is unnecessary for sports organisations to be used as the vehicle for social or political causes”.
“Firstly, because sport is at its best when it is focused on good and fair competition, with dedicated athletes striving for excellence to achieve their sporting dreams and to represent our country at their very best,” the statement said. “Secondly, because there are more targeted and genuine ways to progress social or political causes without virtue signalling or for self-publicity. For example, the meaningful engagement with local Indigenous communities undertaken by Hancock’s Roy Hill Community Foundation in West Australia to support their actual needs. “Thirdly, because there are more impactful means to make a beneficial difference. For example, Hancock’s holistic support for real programs including Hanrine Futures — that are providing a true pathway for Indigenous students through education and into employment where they are guaranteed a job should they wish, at the end of their training. “The reality is that sponsorship is integral to sports organisations -- for full-time professionals right through to young children at the grassroots level — who rely on corporations investing the funds that enable all sports to not only survive, but thrive. Virtue signalling - aintcha sick of it? |

Now there are other iron ore mining companies operating & doing likewise for Aboriginals like FMG & Twiggy Forrest. Hancock's words....
Those that have been assimilated into, you know, earning good living or earning wages amongst the civilised areas, those that have been accepted into society and they have accepted society and can handle society, I’d leave them well alone,” he told a news broadcast. “The ones that are no good to themselves and can’t accept things, the half-castes — and this is where most of the trouble comes — I would dope the water up so that they were sterile and would breed themselves out in future and that would solve the problem.” The mayor at the time... The do-gooders came along, these bureaucrats and the rest of them, who write great theses on things down south about problems in the north, and they decided that they better go and civilise these savages of ours,” the mayor said in the clip. “So they brought them into the towns, threw them in amongst the people, and they close their eyes and shut their eyes to the problems that confront the white population Clinton Wolfe, director of indigenous times said recently of Reinhardt. negativity towards the Netball Australia sponsorship was “hypocritical”. Mr Wolf, who is a non-executive director of Indigenous children’s charity Madalah, said Ms Rineheart and the Roy Hill Community Foundation had come through with a “multi-year, multimillion-dollar funding arrangement” after the WA government refused. “Madalah is proud to say that Mrs Gina Rinehart’s companies are among Madalah’s most important sponsors and supporters,” he wrote. “The Roy Hill Community Foundation’s Hanrine Futures Program funded by the Hancock Group of companies will provide long-term scholarships as well as training, work experience and internships through to employment. Did Madalah agonise over partnering with Mrs Rinehart and her companies, absolutely not. Many of the students who were provided scholarships are traditional owners of land on which mining activities are taking place and it is their families and communities urging the students to take advantage of the opportunity of a lifetime.” Mr Wolf said there had been “much criticism” of Ms Rineheart because Lang Hancock was her father. “Since when do we judge someone because of who their parents are or were or what they said?” he wrote. “In spite of the negative headlines, Madalah’s experience has been that Mrs Rinehart is a kind and generous person who genuinely cares about Madalah and its Indigenous students. “Mrs Rinehart should be applauded for her generous sponsorship of Netball Australia, Madalah and a host of other very worthy causes that desperately need financial support which she supports without fanfare. “While others have criticised her from the sidelines, she does deeds with a good heart. Actions always speak louder than words.” Just to be clear. |

Even if Gina had of said that doping water is not on and she didn't agree with her dad, it still would have seen an unsatisfactory outcome. Why? Because of exactly what the mayor says, that's why.
