Re: Maricopa County’s Administration of the 2022 General Election

Dear Mr. Liddy:

The Elections Integrity Unit (“Unit”) of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (“AGO”)
has received hundreds of complaints since Election Day pertaining to issues related to the administration of the 2022 General Election in Maricopa County. These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law. Furthermore, statements made by both Chairman Gates and Recorder Richer, along with information Maricopa County released through official modes of communication appear to confirm potential statutory violations of title 16.

Pursuant to the AGO’s authority under A.R.S. § 16-1021, the Unit hereby requests
Maricopa formally respond to and address the following concerns that have been raised.

...

Based on the plethora of reports from election workers, poll observers, and voters, combined with Maricopa County’s admission that there were in fact widespread problems related to non-uniform BOD printer configuration settings, the Unit requests that Maricopa County provide a comprehensive report detailing with specificity:

    (1) the voting locations that had problems with either BOD printers or tabulation;
    (2) the specific problems at each voting location;
    (3) any other issues related to BOD printers and/or tabulators that may have contributed to the problems at voting locations;
    (4) a comprehensive log of all changes to the BOD printer configuration settings (to include the identity of individuals making changes);
    (5) Maricopa County’s standards for the BOD printer configuration settings as specified in internal technical specifications and/or manufacturer technical specifications;
    (6) the precise time the non-uniform printer configuration settings were found to be the root cause of the problem; and
    (7) the method used to update or reconfigure the printer configuration settings at each voting location(specifically, if technicians were sent to the voting location, when were they deployed in the field and when did they make the changes at each voting location; alternatively, if the network administrator was able to make universal changes, please detail when and how the printer configuration settings were corrected).

Excuse I, Kari, may I have one of those jolly McFeast things, a lovely thickshake - strawberry, please - and a side order of those things you call fries.

Sorry? Medium, I think. No flies on us, no?

Sorry, dear. Yes, to take out. And kindly don't ask one to repeat, it's bad manners. We'll wait at the drive-thru. Yes, Kari, cash.

Strange. You always looked bigger on TV.

We most certainly will have a nice day, dear.

You?

So unfair. An electoral official is forced to declare the winner of a popular election. And she doesn't even get to pick the candidate she likes?

Pathetic. We're becoming more like a totalitarian state every day, Wombat.

Typical. Whatever happened to our once-proud country?

A federal judge granted a Maricopa County, Arizona, motion for sanctions against Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake Thursday, meaning she will have to pay a fine one week after filing a lawsuit accusing county election officials of violating elections laws.

U.S. District Judge John Tuchi said in his decision that Lake made “false, misleading and unsupported factual assertions” in her initial lawsuit claiming “unauthorized persons” manipulated voting machines during Arizona’s gubernatorial election.

Tuchi cites insufficient evidence supporting any of Lake’s claims, adding the plaintiffs—members of Lake’s election staff in addition to Lake herself—”have voted on paper ballots, contradicting allegations and representations” of statements made by Lake.

"Sanctions must be enough to “deter repetition” of similar allegations in the future in addition to the payment of Katie Hobbs’ attorney fees, but it is not yet clear how much Lake will have to pay."

And you call this Democracy!

Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake and Secretary of State nominee Mark Finchem have been sanctioned by an Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge John Tuchi in a lawsuit they filed to prevent the use of electronic voting machines in the Arizona November election. The Lake campaign said this is a message to those who lose an election not to take their case to court.

“This case is not about money or gain. It was essentially a public interest lawsuit seeking electoral integrity. It is very very rare to sanction a party in public interest suits,” said the Lake campaign in a statement shared with The Arizona Sun Times. “All in all this reads like an angry Obama appointee who wants to send a message. The message is if you lose shut up and don’t come to court. The message is not that you lost a case or acted in bad faith.”

Lake and Finchem initially filed this lawsuit back in April 2022. The lawsuit alleged that electronic voting machines used in Arizona’s elections are flawed and pose the risk of hackers tampering with election results. The complaint requested that Arizona use “tried and true” paper ballot counting methods such as live-streamed hand counts rather than electronic machines.

However, in May, Maricopa County alerted the plaintiffs that their lawsuit was “frivolous” and that they would file a motion to dismiss it and a motion for sanctions should the plaintiffs not dismiss it themselves. When that did not happen, the defendants and Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) filed a motion to dismiss the plaintiff’s lawsuit in early June.

Despite efforts from the plaintiffs to still prevent the use of electronic voting machines, the court sided with the defendants in August and dismissed the lawsuit. The county also moved to get sanctions against the plaintiffs because the defendants believed their goal was “the improper purpose of undermining confidence in elections and furthering their political campaigns.”

Lake did not give in, alleging issues with the machines still needed to be addressed; meanwhile, Finchem accused the county of weaponizing the court. The two ultimately tried to appeal the dismissal in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in September, although the results remained the same.

I would hope that nobody is confused as to why this was considered “frivolous” .

It is absolutely nutso.

BREAKING: AZ’s Katie Hobbs’ Office Used Twitter to Silence Her Critics Ahead of the 2022 Election Against Kari Lake

“So, the democrat candidate, who ran the AZ election, censored her political opponents, disrupted Election Day votes, and then threatened counties with prosecution if they didn’t declare her the winner.”

Oh look, Time to shoot the wombat down in flames again, this really is too easy  ;D ;D

"Arizona has a decentralized election system. What this means, is that there is not a single point of entry into our election system that could disrupt the entire process. Each county is responsible for conducting elections in their jurisdiction. For statewide elections, the counties conduct the election in their county and the Secretary of State aggregates the results from each county to determine the statewide results (except in this case where Hobbs was running,there are specific rules to follow when a SoS is running)[highlight] wombat fail.

Why did twitter remove posts by Lake?
would it be because they contained outright lies, which Lake was prone to tell right throughout the campaign?
wombat fail

How did Hobbs disrupt election day?
is this comment in response to the few malfunctions of the tabulation machines? which had no bearing on the election outcome, so just another lie by the commentator to feed the feeble minded, like wombat.
wombat fail.

tell us, what would have happened if Chocise county had not certified the results?
I will save you the trouble of looking the answer up.
All votes cast in that county would have been removed from the count, thats all votes wombat, even those for the congressional seat, which would have meant that the Dems picked up another seat in congress.

so all in all another total fail by wombat to spreads lies about stolen elections.

Show the posts that were removed, the answer will be there. Read who the email was sent to at twitter, "Misinformation reports", so my guess is it concerned more Kari lake lies.
