Alas… whom was it that said about reducing the population… by at least 50%? Looks like it’s a plan that working? |

And if you reduce the population by 50% you automatically reduce GHG emissions by the same amount and problem solved without thinking about it ;) |

Wonder no more (don't burst a blood vessel in your brain thinking about it for too long though). More deaths than births in 2022 in the Netherlands? A first since at least 1900 There were probably more deaths than births in the Netherlands for the first time in 2022 since at least 1900. However, population hasn’t grown that fast since after WWII. A 1,000 person decrease in a population of 17.8 million for a whole year doesn't exactly sound like they're "dropping like flies", does it? ("All vaxed up" or not). |

Reckon the Dutch are dying more from sexual diseases than Covid.

Perhaps because the Dutch are having a little over one child per woman that the death rate is outpacing the birth rate. But, don't you worry. They import Middle Easterners to bump up the births, given that Middle Easterners have no problems pumping out 5 children per woman. |

There is this rather depressing documentary called "Life After People" where all humans suddenly disappear from Earth and what it means in the years afterwards. What you are trying to say is that if there were 50% fewer people in a year, the amount of power used and vehicle emissions into the atmosphere would reduce harm on the environment by 50%. But, I tend to look at this like 50% of the remainder of the people would be using 100% of the previous available resources... in time. Sure, there would be less concentration of pollutants. But there would still be greenhouse gas emissions, well above the figure you think it would be reduced. When Indians and the Chinese stopped using their cars for long periods of time during the covid scare, their main cities cleared up of air pollution. But, whatever damage there was in the environment would have still taken decades to fix. |

Women in the Netherlands are so career-minded, liberated, and selfish that they do not want to have families (or get married) as much as other societies. Only when they have reached 40 do they regret not having children. But, you know, make way for the third world to expand their numbers and such... |
