Gunman Kills Five People in Texas Home, Authorities Say

Three others were wounded and the gunman remained at large, officials said. The attack on Friday night started after the man was asked to stop shooting in his yard, the authorities said.

Why do they allow effing Mexicans to enter the United States?
Don't they know that most of them are criminals?
Round them up by the millions and

Migrant on migrant massacre:
5 dead after confronting still-at-large Texas gunman firing AR-15 as baby slept

By Rich Calder and
MaryAnn Martinez
April 29, 2023

A drunk man allegedly slaughtered five people in their southeast Texas home after one of them asked him to stop shooting his rifle outside because a baby was trying to sleep, authorities said.

Authorities identified the killer as a Mexican national, and his victims — who were all shot in the head, execution-style — as Hondurans.

The bloodshed took place in  Cleveland, Tex., just 45 miles outside Houston, police said.

The suspect, Francisco Oropeza, 39, went on his shooting spree just before midnight Saturday, after one of the Mexican native’s alleged victims asked him to stop firing his rifle because a baby in the house was trying to sleep, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said.

A total of 10 people were inside the home at the time of the shooting. The victims ranged in age from 8 to 40 years old.

Witnesses told authorities Oropeza, who lives next door to the victims, had been guzzling booze and shooting rounds in his backyard. His immigration status remained unknown Saturday.

Police say Oropeza walked up to his neighbor’s home and began firing an AR-15-style .223 caliber rifle.

More than 170 mass shootings in the US this year

Authorities had received previous reports about the suspect firing a rifle in his yard.

There have been at least 174 mass shootings in the US so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. Both CNN and the archive define a “mass shooting” as a shooting that injured or killed four or more people, not including the shooter.

“It’s not just at banks, schools, supermarkets, or churches where Americans fear becoming victims of a mass shooting,” Kris Brown, president of Brady, a gun violence prevention organization, said in a statement.
UVALDE, TEXAS - JUNE 17: The Robb Elementary School sign is seen covered in flowers and gifts on June 17, 2022 in Uvalde, Texas. Committees have begun inviting testimony from law enforcement authorities, family members and witnesses regarding the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School which killed 19 children and two adults. Because of the quasi-judicial nature of the committee's investigation and pursuant to House, Section 12, witnesses will be examined in executive session. (Photo by Brandon Bell/Getty Images)

The US in 2022 saw highest number of 'active shooter' casualties -- deaths or injuries -- of the past 5 years, FBI report finds

“People in this country are being gunned down with assault weapons in their own home, and that is the horrifying reality we will continue to live under until our norms and policies change.”

There were 10 people inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to the sheriff.

The victims range in age from 8 to about 40, Capers told reporters early Saturday. The 8-year-old victim was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Three people were taken to hospital, and two were evaluated at the scene and released, according to authorities.

The victims’ identities are unknown. The sheriff said the victims are from Honduras, and some had arrived at the home from Houston in recent days.

Capers identified the suspect as 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza. Authorities have a copy of the suspect’s consulate card and are looking for him.

An AR-15-style rifle is a lightweight semi-automatic rifle but the Federal Assault Weapons Ban restricted sales.  After the term 'modern sporting rifles' was coined by the US National Shooting Sports Foundation, it was quickly adopted and promoted as "America's rifle" by the National Rifle Association. It's the gun to defeat the Feds, cut the kids and ambush Americans.

The AR-15 is a high velocity, military style, assault weapon.

It's obviously time to rewrite the US 2nd Amendment:

"An unregulated civilian population, being necessary to the
security of a free State, the compulsory possession of at least
three or more firearms by the people must be legally enforced".

Something like this would decrease the carnage.  Or would it?

'Police departments that once deferred to SWAT teams wielding military-style rifles for active-shooter situations have in recent years started equipping the rank and file with AR-15s'.

This forces American citizens up into higher calibre, automatic sports equipment. This may be M2HB .50 heavy machine guns for  community recreation.

Trump allowed people with mental illnesses to purchase guns....Why would Trump do this Bobby???

Quote:
President Donald Trump quietly signed a bill into law Tuesday rolling back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illnesses to purchase a gun.

The rule, which was finalized in December, added people receiving Social Security checks for mental illnesses and people deemed unfit to handle their own financial affairs to the national background check database.

Had the rule fully taken effect, the Obama administration predicted it would have added about 75,000 names to that database.

President Barack Obama recommended the now-nullified regulation in a 2013 memo following the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which left 20 first graders and six others dead. The measure sought to block some people with severe mental health problems from buying guns.

The original rule was hotly contested by gun rights advocates who said it infringed on Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Gun control advocates, however, praised the rule for curbing the availability of firearms to those who may not use them with the right intentions.

Both the House and Senate last week passed the new bill, H.J. Res 40, revoking the Obama-era regulation.

Trump signed the bill into law without a photo op or fanfare. The president welcomed cameras into the oval office Tuesday for the signing of other executive orders and bills. News that the president signed the bill was tucked at the bottom of a White House email alerting press to other legislation signed by the president.

The National Rifle Association “applauded” Trump’s action. Chris Cox, NRA-ILA executive director, said the move “marks a new era for law-abiding gun owners, as we now have a president who respects and supports our arms.”

ECT Explosive Cordite Therapy involves passing a carefully controlled gun recoil through the brain. ECT attracts very mixed responses – its supporters say that it is beneficial and lifesaving, while its critics say that it is invasive and unnecessary.
Modern ECT is a safe procedure, which is used to treat the most severe forms of depression (including psychotic depression) and severe manic symptoms, when the situation is thought to be life-threatening or after all other treatment options have failed. ECT can reduce severe depressive symptoms more effectively than other treatments.

The United States Constitution is the "Law of the Land".

It is the People's Document, & if the American People wish to change their document to better instruct their Government, & to give or take powers to or from their Government, The American People....not the Government.....The American People have the power to do so through the Constitutional Amendment Process as outlined in Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

If you are an American Citizen, & want to change the wording of the Constitution.....or the entire meaning of an existing Amendment.....or create an entirely new Amendment, the way to accomplish that is the Constitutional Amendment Process & present your Amendment to U. S. Congress either individually, or  as a group.

This is the way to accomplish change or modification to the US Constitution.

its certainly true that an armed society is a polite society.

if you, for example , were stuck in some rural town in missouri and someone asked your opinion of trump, you would probably give a more polite answer then your rabid rantings on line.

so, the presence of guns causes people to be more considerate of their fellow citizens

it brings us together

However if you go to the wrong address....Let your basketball roll onto the neighbors lawn or complain about your neighbor shooting his assault rifle whilst your child is trying to sleep....You can expect to get shot....Sending your children to school or going to work could result in you never coming home....The prevalence of so many firearms in society with little to no regulation which are used for only one thing, killing your fellow Americans does not make society safer or more considerate....The prevalence of firearms allows anyone with a grievence no matter how trivial to use deadly force where reason is not considered an option....Where else in first world nation do you get shot for knoking on the wrong door or turning into the wrong driveway....Republicans have shot down gun reforms including mental health checks and restrictions on assault weapons....An armed society is killing it's children and making it easier to happen....Stupid is forever!!!

I swear you are becoming more and more unhinged as time goes by.

Polite? In a thread about 5 people (including children) being shot dead with an assault rifle in their own home for asking a drunk guy to stop firing rounds so their baby could sleep, you say guns make people more "polite".

And you go even further, "Don't criticise Trump or you'll be killed" ... "politeness"

It beggars belief!

I' quite accustomed to seeing outrageous drivel from you Horseboy but this is lunatic proportion drivel.

Politeness is not a consequence of fear, you fool. It is a consequence of respect.

If we had the rate of mass shootings in Australia the same as what we see in America, there would be one mass shooting in Australia every 9 days. And that would be unacceptable. But, if the USA had the same rate of mass shootings as Australia has had in the last 27 years, there would be 2 shootings per year in the USA. And that would be unacceptable.

The only effort Americans would likely try to avoid future mass shootings is to ban the airplay of songs like Jon Secada's "Just Another Day", to prevent hurt feelings.

'the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed'.
They aren't serious about their own rights or the law wouldn't be altered to infringe their holy gun powers. They knew that taking guns to the Capitol invasion would get jail-time. It could be said that attacking Congress that day was exactly what the 2nd Amendment provided for. But it failed them and all that remains is to hand in the 500million weapons, put hand on heart and join civilisation.

Well, of course it's perfectly acceptable to be "indignant" about
the number of firearm deaths and mass killings happening
every week across America.

Indignantadj:  —feeling or showing anger because of something unjust or unworthy.

If you don't feel angry about all those needless gun deaths,
then you really need to reappraise your obviously indifferent
moral and ethical beliefs.       Everybody should be angry.

And the issue of vehemently opposing the lax firearms laws
in America has nothing to do with complainants' "self-righteousness"
—it also has nothing to do with one feeling morally superior to
others.  In actuality, opposition to those outdated, negligent
laws is the sign of a morally right or justifiable standpoint.

—In fact, your patronising little comment better represents
someone's self-righteousness—more so than any sort of
   meaningful thought processes.     Tsk, tsk.

firearms are good in the hands of , say, farmers.

not so much mentally ill urban types.

holland has just seen its farming ranks absolutley gutted.

this was supposedly to help the climate but its really because holland has an enormous industry in producing food flavourings and addititves and they are linking up with big food to feed you guys processed fake meat.

dutch farmers took to the streets (as did the french) but they were soon brought under the iron fist of the dictartorship

that wouldnt happen in america.

i have been to texas and you just try and tell the ranchers i met that they need to hand  over their cows.

good luck with that.

guns can be very important deterant to reduce the over reach of the urban elite.

Until relatively recently, Dutch farming prowess was hailed as one of the wonders of the global economy. In 2017, a National Geographic article headlined “This tiny country feeds the world” encapsulated a sense of national pride at the Netherlands’ status as the second-biggest exporter of agricultural products by value behind the United States.

These days, Dutch farmers are in the headlines for less upbeat reasons. As the climate emergency and a related biodiversity crisis belatedly take centre stage in policymaking, the prime minister, Mark Rutte, has committed to halving the country’s overall nitrogen emissions by 2030. A large proportion of these are generated by the manure and urine produced by more than 100m cattle, pigs and chickens. To reach the target, and protect biodiversity in the polluted countryside, the government has announced plans to reduce livestock numbers by a third.

that probably wouldnt happen in the states

guns are bad when in the hands of urban gangs, drug gangs, criminals,
they have no place in the city

in the rural areas where 'real" americans live, where people are productive and have strong ties with neighbours and a sense of community, guns are a good deterant to government over reach

when the constitution was written, probably 90 % of americans were rural folk , as i have describes above

we could , perhaps pass laws that only the productive members of society can be armed

Dutch firearms were known for their sound quality, slender lines and perfect marriage of simplicity and functionality.

Provincial elections were held in the Netherlands on the 15 March 2023, on the same day as the water board elections, as well as island council elections in the Caribbean Netherlands. The elections resulted in a landslide victory for the Farmer–Citizen Movement, who lost 241,000 casualties to the royalist 7,452,781 deaths.

And the GUN STATE... uh... sorry, Texas, hits the headlines
yet again for all the wrong reasons:

Matthew DeLaney, who was not in uniform for Texas
A&M-Texarkana, was standing near the bullpen and
batting cages near the south-west corner of George
Dobson Field on Sunday when he was hit by a bullet
fired from an adjacent neighbourhood, police said.

DeLaney, 18, was struck in the chest and taken to a
Texarkana hospital, where he remained in intensive
care in a stable condition.

"But we think it's important to note that he has a number
of serious injuries, as would be expected with this type
of trauma. He has made slight improvements daily but
still has significant injuries and complications to overcome."

Police, in a post on the Texarkana department's Facebook
page, said they received several calls about shots fired
in the neighbourhood west of the field.  Officers found
several spent shell casings in the front yard of a residence.

Police said a disturbance ended with two men shooting at
each other in front of the house. One of the shots travelled
about 400 yards and hit DeLaney.

Yes.   A nationwide review conducted by ABC News in May 2020
identified at least 54 criminal cases where Trump was invoked in
direct connection with violent acts, threats of violence or
allegations of assault.

These 54 cases are remarkable in that a link to Trump is captured
in court documents and police statements, under the penalty of
perjury or contempt.    These links are not speculative—they
are documented in official records. And in the majority of
cases identified by ABC News, it was perpetrators themselves who
invoked the president in connection with their case, not anyone  else.

Federal law enforcement authorities have said that although
Trump has offered public denunciations of violence, his statements
have been inconsistent and his style could inspire violence-prone
individuals to take action against minorities or others they
perceive to be against the president's agenda.

Hopefully Trump will have a few thoughts about this over the next 30 years wearing an orange jump suit?

                 ;D

Maybe surprisingly, this is correct...

WILDLIFE RESTORATION (PITTMAN-ROBERTSON ACT).

The excise tax is set by law at 11% of the wholesale price for long
guns and ammunition and 10% for handguns. It is paid by
manufacturers, producers, and importers and applies to all
commercial sales and imports, whether their purpose is hunting,
sport shooting, or personal defense. This tax is handled by the
Department of the Treasury, which turns the funds over to the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) for apportionment to the states.

But... and that's a big but... logically of course this has no bearing
whatsoever on the "rights" supposedly granted by the 2nd
Amendment, nor does it in any way redress the ludicrously massive
numbers of firearms owned in the US (120 guns for every 100
Americans) or the equally massive numbers of unnecessary
firearms deaths and huge cost to society.

In an average year, gun violence in America kills 40,000 people,
wounds twice as many, and has an economic consequence to the
nation of $557 billion.

This annual figure dwarfs the guns and ammunition tax—over the
76 years since its inception—at only $7 billion or $92 million a
year.  Which means, in effect, that the alleged national parks
benefits put forward by the firearms manufacturers and owners is
merely a publicity smoke screen.      Tsk, tsk.

Texas man accused of killing five neighbors was deported four times

May 1 (Reuters) - A Texas man accused of killing five neighbors after being asked to stop shooting his assault-style rifle because of the noise had been deported from the U.S. four times since 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said on Monday.

The suspect in the shooting in the rural community of Cleveland, Texas, Francisco Oropesa, 38, is a Mexican who was deported in March 2009 after being ordered removed by an immigration judge, ICE said in a statement. He was apprehended and deported again in September 2009, January 2012 and July 2016, ICE said.

2019 52,000

2020 69,000

There's a new one every day.

About 1.6 per day on average at the moment.

If Australia had near on 400m people, and more just walking in every day, you'd see more deaths to anything available.

Nearly half of all the unauthorized migrants now living in the United States entered the country legally through a port of entry such as an airport or a border crossing point where they were subject to inspection by immigration officials, according to new estimates from the Pew Hispanic Center.

As much as 45% of the total unauthorized migrant population entered the country with visas that allowed them to visit or reside in the U.S. for a limited amount of time. Known as “overstayers,” these migrants became part of the unauthorized population when they remained in the country after their visas had expired.

Another smaller share of the unauthorized migrant population entered the country legally from Mexico using a Border Crossing Card, a document that allows short visits limited to the border region, and then violated the terms of admission.

Criminal defendant Trump is gonna have to build a wall 30,000 feet high around the airport.

Our firearm deaths have always been much lower than the US even when we allowed people to have semi auto rifles and pump action shotguns for self defence.

The semi auto rifles we restricted were used in just over 1% of all firearm deaths from 1980-1995.

How much safer are we by banning a type of rifle used in just over 1% of all firearm deaths from 1980-1995?

They got their firearms from Obamas Mexican gun running operation called Fast and Furious

Quote:
'Fast And Furious' Just Might Be President Obama's Watergate

Why a gunrunning scandal codenamed "Fast and Furious," a program run secretly by the U.S. government that sent thousands of firearms over an international border and directly into the hands of criminals, hasn't been pursued by an army of reporters all trying to be the next Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein is a story in itself.

Fast and Furious was an operation so cloak-and-dagger Mexican authorities weren't even notified that thousands of semi-automatic firearms were being sold to people in Arizona thought to have links to Mexican drug cartels. According to ATF whistleblowers, in 2009 the U.S. government began instructing gun storeowners to break the law by selling firearms to suspected criminals. ATF agents then, again according to testimony by ATF agents turned whistleblowers, were ordered not to intercept the smugglers but rather to let the guns "walk" across the U.S.-Mexican border and into the hands of Mexican drug-trafficking organizations.

A Jan. 8, 2010 briefing paper from the ATF Phoenix Field Division Group VII says: "This investigation has currently identified more than 20 individual connected straw purchasers…. To date (September 2009-present) this group has purchased in excess of 650 firearms (mainly AK-47 variants) for which they have paid cash totaling more than $350,000."

This is an important fact because the U.S. Justice Department hasn't made it clear to tell congressional investigators when the Fast and Furious operation began and who authorized it; as a result, this ATF briefing paper's mention of September 2009 is thus far the earliest we can trace the operation.

The next important event we know of occurred in October 2009 when the ATF's Phoenix Field Division established a gun-trafficking group called "Group VII." Group VII began using the strategy of allowing suspects to walk away with illegally purchased guns, according to a report from the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the staff of Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), ranking member of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. The report says, "The purpose was to wait and watch, in hope that law enforcement could identify other members of a trafficking network and build a large, complex conspiracy case…. Group VII initially began using the new gunwalking tactics in one of its investigations to further the Department's strategy. The case was soon renamed 'Operation Fast and Furious.'"

This report and later official explanations from the ATF say the Fast and Furious program was created to deal with the problem that arresting low-level suspects doesn't necessarily help ATF agents get to the heads of Mexican cartels.

On Oct. 26, 2009, a month or so after Fast and Furious seems to have been initiated, a document shows that a teleconference was held between 13 officials. One of the issues discussed was the possible "adoption of the Department's strategy for Combating Mexican Drug Cartels." The officials listed to have been in on the call included Kenneth Melson, who was then the director of the ATF, Robert Mueller, the director of the FBI and a number of attorneys with the U.S. Department of Justice. B. Todd Jones, the current director of the ATF, was not listed in the document, but the title he held in September 2009 is listed as being in on the conference call.

Later in 2009 the ATF started the Fast and Furious program by allowing firearms to be smuggled from U.S. gun stores into the arsenals of Mexican criminal gangs. As these guns wouldn't be seen again until they resurfaced in crimes (there were no tracking devices installed or other means to trace these guns), the only purpose for letting these guns "walk" seems to be to back up the president's position that guns used in Mexican crimes mostly come from the U.S. (Though the Obama administration insists the gun sales were a part of a new crime-fighting technique.)

Australia has more than 3.5 million registered firearms, an average of four for each licensed gun owner. So 4% of population own a gun.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Congressional Research Service in  2020 reported that 'the estimated total number of overall firearms in civilian possession is 433.9 million' in US of 332mill people. On the same basis of four guns each, that's 108mill owners or 30% of population, seven times the rate in Oz. That's very close to the actual gun death rate of 1.2 Oz to about 8 US per 100,000 people.

No, dear, that's what we call a fun lie. Spitballing.

Quote:
Zoom in: Volunteers Thursday morning brought food, water, diapers and clothing to the church, which was bustling with families, state legislators, interpreters and other volunteers — a Herculean effort that the community can’t sustain long-term, Belcastro said.

Neighbors walked over and delivered cash to a volunteer to give to Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, a nonprofit that’s providing food for the asylum seekers.
Fernandes, state Rep. Jon Santiago and Massachusetts Health and Human Services Secretary Marylou Sudders visited the church Thursday afternoon to meet with organizers.
Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, executive director of Lawyers for Civil Rights, said attorneys are trying to figure out how to handle appointments that migrants have with federal immigration authorities in the cities they were supposed to go.

Asylum seekers go through a rigorous, often years-long process through immigration courts that requires them to check in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement periodically. Missing an appointment could be detrimental to their case.
What’s next: Volunteers expect to keep the asylum seekers at the church for at least another day before they are taken to another part of Massachusetts, Belcastro says.

We banned people from having a type of rifle that was used in just over 1% of all firearm deaths from 1980-1995 how much safer did that make us?

If we exclude family shootings and only count random public mass shootings then we only had Hoddle st, Queen st , Strathfield and Port Arthur for a grand total of 4 mass shootings. How common were public mass shootings here when we only had 4?

We have far more than 3.5 million registered firearms here i see you're quoting numbers from Philip Alpers from gunpolicy.org who failed to impose gun control in NZ then came here.

We have over 6 million registered firearms with over 2 million firearm licence holders here. Our license and firearm numbers have doubled since 1996 while our population has increased from 17 to 25 million people.

In addition to accused gunman Francisco Oropesa, fewer than five others have been arrested, Chief Deputy Tim Kean of the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office said. “But I can’t go into the details.”

Authorities also are waiting to learn whether the mass shooting weapon has been recovered. “As of now, we may have the weapon, but we have to wait for ballistics (testing),” Kean said at a news conference outside the jail where Oropesa is now being held after a dayslong manhunt.

Texas massacre suspect discovered hiding in a closet and taken into custody, ending dayslong manhunt, officials say

A 38-year-old Mexican national, Oropesa was found Tuesday evening stowed under a pile of laundry in a closet just a few miles from the massacre site after a tip helped lead authorities to him, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said Tuesday. Law enforcement also tracked Oropesa’s wife to the home, which is associated with one of the suspect’s family members, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Oropesa will be held on five counts of murder, with bond set at $5 million, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect is expected to appear in court Wednesday to be read the charges, a source with the San Jacinto County District Attorney’s Office told CNN, adding the charges could be upgraded to capital murder – a death penalty offense in Texas. Authorities are still investigating whether he had any help in evading arrest, the San Jacinto County district attorney told CNN.

It's a bit hard to work out who, exactly, he did like. Kim Jong Un, MBS and Vlad were definitely up there. He was okay with Saudi Muslims, Turks too.

A Mexican National murders five Honduran Nationals in Texas and somehow you want to blame people who demand a secure border. Many, many ills could be cured with a secure border. Actually it would be great if we could have a border that is not little more than lines on a map!

We can't have illegals with illegal guns, only legals should be illegal. Congress is illegal and the 2nd Amend makes it legal to shoot-up the swamp rat vote-stealers. 24/7.

No no, I believe your constitution permits the right to bear arms, correct? It's a right so sacred and holy, it is believed to have been granted by Jesus Himself.

You're getting your mass shootings mixed up, morty.

Mauricio Garcia is the guy who shot up the mall in Allen, Texas.

"Reports that Garcia was wearing a patch that read "RWDS" - which reportedly stands for "Right Wing Death Squad" - have led to significant discussion and speculation about his motivation."

He's a right-wing extremist - just like you.

Now, this thread is about a shooting in someone's yard near Houston.

The problem with neither was that they were Mexican. the problem is they had too many guns and wanted to shoot people with them. - "Its the guns stupid"

This Mexican was a white nationalist who had been thrown out of the army for being too crazy and too racist.

Of course under the current redefined second amendment it is perfectly ok the be a white nationalist - crazy fascist person and your right to have about 50 guns is protected.

Take the gun out of the equation and nobody gets shot. Everyone goes home alive.

The person is going to be there, there is nothing can be done about that. The gun on the other hand is optional. It isn't about blame it is about solutions.

No gun = no mass shooting 100% of the time.

Maybe time for a dirty sex tour, eh dirty old sex tourist? Satisfy some 'curiosities'?

The carnage just goes on:

Quote:
Louisiana teenager shot by neighbor as she played hide-and-seek. . . .

Data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show shootings are the leading killer of children and teens in the nation, surpassing motor vehicle accidents and other causes.

Why are Americans so afraid. so paranoid?

With 350 million people 0.5% is enough to make a difference in many areas.

The more relevant question would be why are American politicians so corrupt. The number of nuts and paranoid people will exist irrespective.

The problem is the lack of will to solve the issue and that lack of will is directly related to political donations.

I know, right? One of Aquascoot's arguments was just that: America has enough people left alive to cope. Sure, guns might take out a few, but that's just a drop in the bucket. There's still plenty of people and livestock left to cope.

Culling a few chodes via a jolly mass shooting is no different to slaughtering the odd pig or turkey. The important thing is to preserve the arms industry. That's what makes America great.

Not agriculture or pharmaceuticals or patents or education, no. Food and drug companies kill. Knowledge is dangerous. But weapons preserve what's great about America:

DEATH.

Bombs don't set themselves off either, neither do Tanks, canons or rocket launchers. I am sure that you think you made a point?

There is no record of a rocket launcher attack against a school not because nobody would do it but because the people who would do it do not have a rocket launcher. They have to resort to their easily accessed republican party sponsored AR15 rifles.

Oh, it most certainly is the guns.

Unless you can provide a link to a mass shooting that didn't involve a gun, or maybe show us where someone died from a gunshot wound when there were no guns involved.

"Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the right-wing Oath Keepers militia, has been found guilty of seditious conspiracy for his involvement in last year's attack on the US Capitol."

You know the guy - he has an eye patch.

You know why?

He dropped his gun and it went off on its own and shot him in the eye   ;D

Impossible to suffer a gunshot wound if there's no gun involved   ;)

Guns don't shoot people, Greggery. The ground did.

Besides, if Antifa weren't there tricking him into rioting, it would have been just another ordinary day at the Capitol.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!

Rhodes accidentally dropped his .22 caliber pistol and shot himself in the eye.

While this led to him using a prosthetic eyeball, he sometimes also chose to wear an eye patch, which distinguished him among the crowds at various political rallies (and insurrections).

LOL... or not?

This interminable debate is likely to continue well into
the 22nd century!

On the one hand we have the paranoid, psychopathic,
American gung-ho, wannabe cowboys who're more than
happy to see thousands of people, including children,
killed or maimed each and every year by firearms.

On the other, we have the horrendous statistics of US
firearm deaths—and the rational, compassionate,
prudent individuals who demand a rewriting of the
ambiguous 2nd Amendment together with a firearms
amnesty that would see many of the 433.9 million
guns taken off US streets and out of homes.

I can only reiterate that I'm very happy to be living
in Australia, a country with sensible firearms laws,
zero mass shootings, and where one's ability to visit
a shopping mall is not overshadowed by the very real
risk of being shot by some insane defender of the Second.

           >:(

LOL.  Disbarred lawyer and Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes is looking
at a 25-year jail sentence for seditious conspiracy on 6 January.

Oh the irony...

This is a guy who strenuously and aggressively supports his
2nd Amendment "rights", but can't even handle his own gun

So you both agree that arming citizens with guns is justified via Drafting/Conscription (Enslavement)?

But of course. Why do you think the big fella served McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut at state functions?

Why do you think he put his own son-in-law in charge of billions worth of pharmaceutical subsidies?

Why did he employ his own daughter and allow her to tweet celebrity endorsements for processed food from the Oval Office?

If you support this, you support that.

Ever get the feeling you've been farmed?
