A man is claiming he is Jesus Christ says he is sure of his identity because he has memories of his life 2,000 years ago.

Alan Miller, or AJ, 53, from Kingaroy, a small rural town north-west of Brisbane, is a former computer systems engineer who said he realised he is the Messiah after his first marriage ended in 1997 and he began to have reoccurring memories of his life in the first century, according to The Advertiser.

Mr Miller, who has been compared to a cult leader, is now remarried to Mary Luck, a woman who claims she is Mary Magdalene and says she also has memories of her life as Jesus' wife 2,000 years ago.
