I am sure Aussie knows how Aust Post works: early each evening a van pulls up, opens the letterbox and removes the bag of mail, replacing it with a new bag. The bags of mail get taken to the big city, could be Hobart. There the mail is marked—with the name of the big city. I know this because I had a lot to do with Australia Post in my first business—lots of large envelopes were mailed out each week and each month. Lawyers would know how this works—date on the envelope sometimes important. So—Aussie is trying to doxx me. Now, how can Aussie go to the cops and say an envelope was stolen if he is not going to ring the PO to see if it is there or if it was received and the envelope is missing. Aussie has the envelope and his $60—he did ring the PO the envelope was sent to and APO delivered it. Aussie is fishing for my details is all. Doxxing that is called. |

For those who may not know...Mersyndol is not only expensive ....it can only be obtained via script. Even then no doctor will/is allowed at law to prescribe Mersyndol with a repeat. The other unfortunate thing about Mersyndol is this : some of us (example ME) are subsequently informed that we CANNOT take it as we are ALLERGIC to it! That is why I was left with no choice but to explore other treatment options based on our doctor’s advice. In my case that involved surgery. Some 7 OzPol members were quietly notified of all this via PM. Some of these OzPol members even post on Monk’s Manure Mound. I specifically requested that they stay quiet about it. And they have. If any of these 7 OzPol members wish to come forward and identify themselves ....they can. 3. Moving on...let’s talk panadol. Panadol is an over the counter medicine which comes in different formats. Interesting. I usually grab 6 chicken legs from the freezer and pop them into a big pot with boiling water and use that to make a chicken soup. I usually add a few chopped veges but I try and make it more of a broth when I start hearing coughs around me. Lots of fresh lemon goes into it. I also chop up onions finely so that you can’t see them much in the broth. It’s a great way to eat something that will provide fuel and warmth...and of course settle the cough. Socks is mostly a staghound—formed by crossing a greyhound with a Scottish deerhound. As well as that Socks has some genes from an entirely different breed, possibly American Staffordshire—her head is entirely unhound like.
She is a very beautiful dog. Every person who sees her says so. She runs like the wind! In live about 400Km south of Melbourne. Days have been nice, invigorating! Close enough to the ocean it doesn’t get as cold as the altitude would suggest. I don’t live on the west coast. |

I stayed up watching a movie last night. I was asleep by 5:30am and was awake by 11:40 when my alarm went off. I have not slept so well in a long time. I remember the rain coming down for a few minutes before I had drifted off to sleep. Neither hot or cold.
I cannot see how anyone over the age of 60 would really want to be up in the cold weather, just to post online. If it is 10°C outside at 4 in the morning, I just say "Get ****ed" and pull the doona over me. Nothing is going to happen until I see that sunshine. |

I thought I would make it through the night. But, 2 hours into the shift, I had to go to the toilet. I went and sat on the toilet room and snoozed for 3 minutes. Should have seen Socks at the lure coursing yesterday!
A really fast run, 100% concentrated on the lure—three plastic shopping bags attached to a continuous wire stretched to a course with pegs and pulleys, all connected to a motor. Blazing speed, 100% concentrated on the lure. Got to the end, wire stopped, VRROOOMMMM comes Socks a second later, grabs the last bag with such a strong bite the bag is pretty much ripped off the wire by a ferocious bite. Next time I went to have a look at another dog having a go—third bag is a new one. LOL! After Socks’ run iI was told by those that know—great run, much improved, 100% concentrated on the bags. Concentration on the lure a big factor in judging how well a dog does in a trial. While terriers, kelpies etc etc mutts have a go, lure coursing hounds—greyhounds, whippets, wolfhounds and staghounds like Socks have a huge advantage—they can see the bags, the other non coursing breeds if the lure is pulled a bit too fast they can’t see the bags. These are fun runs—if a non-coursing dog loses the lure the lure is wound back so the chase can resume. Terriers etc track—follow by smell—mainly. I am going to try Socks out for tracking—the more outside activities the better for Socks. I am having a 1800mm colorbond fence installed, once that is in place Socks can spend more time outside. Tomorrow—we go back to the beach for a nice big run for Socks. Socks is a beautiful dog with a sweet temperament. I am so lucky that the two British Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies were already taken when I had my appointment at the RSPCA shelter at Lonsdale. I am so, so chuffed to have a wonderful, beautiful sweet dog like Socks, my god! I pity those without a dog. |

Socks was 19 weeks old when I adopted her. Could have been more. That is enough to have suffered from previous owners or their kids.
First sign was that socks was very sensitive about her tail, didn’t want me to touch it. She is more relaxed about it now. Obviously—a previous owner or his kids yanked on Socks’ beautiful tail. I got a second indication some time later. I had Socks off-lead in the local recreation reserve. One time there was a toddler there (with a parent and a sibling.) Socks ran at the toddler knocking it down. Did that twice then came running in at the toddler lying there on the ground, her teeth showing and she was growling. Didn’t hurt the toddler but obviously a toddler at a previous home tormented Socks. You get a puppy from the RSPCA, said puppy generally have strayed from their birth or second home very likely because of ill treatment. Demi, my lovely terrier, was beaten with books, magazines etc—she was only 3 months old when I got her! A lot of the cases a person or family gets a dog, doesn’t look after it properly, doesn’t have it desexed. Then—there is a litter of puppied “How did that happen?” all is fine for a while then the puppies begin exploring the house leaving certain traces behind and the puppies get beaten. Any wonder puppies stray from such an abusive home? |

Socks gets plenty of walks. Because of neighboring field with sheep I can’t let Socks loose in the backyard. I have explained this more than once but I guess the brain damaged junky can’t remember. That is why the 1800mm colorbond fence is going up.

I can’t let Socks wonder alone because if she went into a field where there were sheep she would likely be shot. I have explained this already TODAY and many times before. Drug addiction like Larry’s is cruel. Like, Friday I took Socks for a 2km walk. I didn’t touch my computer other than to turn the monitor off. I posted after I returned from the walk 45 minutes after leaving here. The junky said I logged off 15 minutes after I left to walk Socks. The weather here is the same as Yeppoon, even though Yeppoon gets a lot more tropical weather than we do behind a dividing range. 40 kilometres separates both towns. 40km in Tasmania would have you in another town, or up the mountain with wildly different weather patterns. Much the same issue with Melbourne and other parts of Victoria. It could be freezing on one side of Melbourne, and pleasant on the other side of the city. I only have to drive west of Rockhampton to Gracemere on a cold night. The weather in my town would be a tolerable cold. The weather in Gracemere would be below freezing. |

We-eell, technically, you are right. The main part of the Great Dividing Range is (100s of kms) well west of the town. But, the Berserker Ranges does have an association with the eastern side of the Great Divide. So, I am also right. Rockhampton is sheltered as a valley. The only way to build outwards in this town is to build north. That is why I am so very much in favour of the Rockhampton Ring Road. I just got back from Yeppoon. It was nearly as much rainfall (a pittance) there as was in town. But I have been to Yeppoon during the cold of winter (not tonight, though) to find that it is crisp nights there. But, you can drive back to town and get through the Limestone Creek valley where the weather change is apparent. I said I was going to drive up to Mount Archer when it gets very cold and take a thermometer. I will be there at 2 in the morning to see how cold it is up there. |
